Beware - this item requires assembly! I do not recall seeing that mentioned anywhere in the description.

This is a nice, low-profile, laser-cut clear acrylic case. Has 6 little acrylic parts to peel the protective paper off of, takes a little while to put together, has an adequate instruction sheet, but not rocket science, as each part can only go one way. Not a simple molded snap-together clam-shell case, a bit more complex, but very well made and looks really high-tech.Top cover sits low enough you can plug a 40-pin ribbon to GPIO without removing top. The 2 2x USB and ethernet rise above the cover, like other low-profile "dog-bone" cases. The laser cut parts are very precision-cut, very snug tolerances, yet none require excessive force to fit. You can use the notched sides, or leave them out for a more "open-frame" Pi.Ventilation is fine; mine runs 42C and only 45 overclocked to 900MHz (no heatsink).Comes with nylon hardware, 4 screws/spacers/nuts for attaching B+ to bottom; and 4 threaded spacers and 8 screws for the corners. This is nylon -- finger-tight is enough! Has nice silicone peel-n-stick feet.Glad I got at $5 before price jumped to $14...

The case works and looks nice but the process of removing the paper backing stuck onto the side of each piece was an exercise in futility. There were no tags to help pull the paper off. Each piece of plastic was precision-cut with the paper backing already attached so there was literally no easy place to grab onto and pull the paper off. I ended up scratching my case with the sharp edge of a knife in an an attempt to pull the backing off. It took an hour to do (and only a few minutes to assemble the case). It was the cause of much frustration and I almost just gave up, tossing the case components in the trash but persevered and finally was able to remove all of the backing, albeit several scratches later. I'm not at all happy with this product. They have to come up with a better way to facilitate removal of the paper backing.

This is my third RPi 2/B+ case from GeauxRobo. Removing the protective paper is a little annoying but I'd rather take 2 minutes to peel off paper than go through the hassle of receiving scratched parts and wait a week for replacements.Air flow is pretty good, but I wouldn't overclock with this. I seriously doubt that any heat sink would fit, there is only a couple mm between the chip and the case.I'll definitely buy again.

well designed hard to assemble

Solid case, have to put together upon arrival but only takes ~10 minutes using the clearly written instructions. Does involve some pretty small pieces so if you don't like handling small screws and nuts (i.e. have bad eyes or hands) you'd probably want someone to put this together for you. Otherwise a great, well priced see through acrylic case.

Great case. I always love any raspberry pi case from GeauxRobot
