Yes it can be submerged. There is no recommended depth beyond simply ensuring the sensor on the tip is exposed to the test sample. The cable is 3 feet long.

Can this probe be left in contact with pool water indefinitely?

No, the chlorine is corrosive and will ruin the sensor.

will this work with chemtrol and do you offer an ORP probes

If by chemtrol you mean monitoring wall-mounted meters, then we would recommend the 201DJ-C instead.
