The connectors are good, but the twisting makes best. - I tried using my soldering iron on the first couple of attempts, but that did not work as quickly or as repeatable as using a hot air blower. Plus I could see the solder flow and the seals being made. I'm rewiring about 100 outdoor lights that require two butt splices per fixture. This is a quick and effective means of making the connections. Takes a few seconds to twist, slide the connection into place, heat-solder-seal, and move on to the next wire.
