Can someone who is colorblind play this game?

I have played several levels of this Katamino puzzle and it didn't seem like the colours matter in any way. Its the pattern of the shapes that matters most. Being colour blind shouldn't make it any less fun or any more challenging. Hope this helps.

How big are the grid squares in Katamino pocket? Or what is the exact length of 8 grid rows in the tray? (for creating an 8x8 board for the pieces)

Eight grid rows are 4 inches in length. This is a really nice compact set. All the pieces fit nicely in the box which has a slide out drawer. I like that the pieces are 3 dimensional. The dimensions of the box are 7-1/4 (Length) by 4-1/8 (Width) by 1-1/2 (Height) inches. The pentominos when placed in the box form a rectangle that is 5-3/4 by 2-1/4 inches. The box also contains a spacer bar that you can place anywhere vertically in the grid in order to create smaller pentomino configurations. Hope this helps!
