Excellent affordable and simple bass
This is an excellent affordable and simple bass. It plays great and sounds good. My only complaint is UPS beat the crap out of the box, but somehow it survived without any damage. I'd highly recommend this bass to a beginner or someone looking for a nice, playable bass without 4 or more knobs to find a tone.

Great 5 string for the price
Great 5 string bass as I was looking for something completely different.I still own a 1998 Fender Jazz Bass (Mexico) still a good guitar but needed another change. This suits me perfectly and what I read is all true , great sound, light weight and fast action neck. Definitely worth the buck and very satisfied

BEAUTIFUL! And made with the quality and had the robust sound one would/should expect from Ibanez. I play Prog Rock, Metal (both old style and NU) and I've found that between sets I've yet to switch to either of my backups. If you're looking for a beautiful, hi quality, 5 string, you simply can't go wrong!

Cool bass!
Pretty cool 5 string bass! Like all Ibanez basses, the neck is thin, smooth, fast and comfortable. A little bit of fret buzz, but nothing a good set up couldn't take care of.IMHO the pickup is the weakest part of this bass, although I'm sure others will disagree. To me, it seems to pick up way too much of finger/feet noise until the tone is turned down nearly all the way, then the whole character of the bass is lost and it just sounds dull. I tried a couple of different replacements with mixed results and finally settled on a passive EMG - which cost almost as much as the bass did! Well, as they say, your mileage may vary...

Worth the money
I have had this bass for a year now and I don't know how or why, but it is the best bass I have owned especially at this price point.I use it strictly for studio recording and it has the best sound I have ever recorded. For the price, it is more than worth it, it never goes out of tune unless a drastic weather change occurs.

Item arrived late and broken
The media could not be loaded. The bass got to its destination a week later, and to make matters worse, it was broken.
