I Am Enough: Mark Your Mirror And Change Your Life

The last self-help book you'll ever read!
I've literally just finished reading Marisa's book and, while I don't normally write reviews, I really felt as though I had to write one for this incredible book. Do not be fooled by the fact that it might be shorter than your average self-help book- it truly packs a punch, and has really influenced my life and even the words I'm saying in the space of days. The knowledge that we are in control of our thoughts might not seem like a new concept, but this book really shows the extent of how our thoughts can influence our lives. I've always thought of myself as quite a positive person, but I can definitely see how my thoughts might have unknowingly kept me stuck. The thing I like about this book is that Peer doesn't lecture us or berate us for being the way we are- through examples and simple (often humorous!) explanations, you can instantly see how your thoughts might have impacted your past or present actions. Again, there is no blame here, and I really love Marisa's writing style- very informed, but also like having a chat with a friend. I've read several self-helps books, and often come away feeling that I'll just never be enough or as 'spiritual' as the people writing them (ironic, given the title of THIS book!). With 'I am Enough', you will truly walk away with some actionable ideas, and I'm excited to 'play detective' and see what changes come about as a result. One thing I would definitely recommend is doing the exercises given in the book. I have to admit that I haven't always done exercises in similar books, because they often seem quite lengthy and intangible, but these are different. The Spotify playlist is so fun, and I really recommend the hypnosis session. I was sceptical at first, but it is incredibly powerful.I heartily recommend this book, more than I have with any other book for a while, and I'm a true Marisa Peer fan! I'd love to do a training with her some day- her teaching style and method is truly revolutionary. Thank you so much for all that you do, Marisa!I am enough!

Gifted to, and rated by, an AA member
I haven't read the whole book but I have followed Marisa Peer for a while now and very recently experienced her in a live context thanks to her recent discovery day and - wow - what a revelation that was but I'm not here to talk about that, but rather this book, a slender tome which contains many insights into having a happy and healthy life. If the title doesn't grab you have a look at the chapter headings which will give you an idea of the scope of what's within:1 Hell is not your morning commute2 Why Babies aren't afraid of Flying3 Why you don't want to be a lottery winner4 To be successful, do this first5 There are no shortcut - but there is only one guarantee6 Your mind is like a classroom of three-year-olds7 We are caveman bodies living in modern times8 The biggest challenge to enjoying happiness and inner peace9 Criticism withers; praise builds10 Sing your own song11 Building a loving relationship starts with yourself12 Putting it all together to create an incredible lifeLike I said I haven't read it yet but I gifted a copy of the book to a friend who is a member of AA and quite resistant to fads in terms of self-help and he's very impressed. He said that he's only half way through but that there are a huge amount of similarities between the practical things that the book recommends and AA practise, but one difference he could see was that while the AA book has a chapter called 'How it works' it doesn't have a chapter called 'Why it works', Whereas she explains exactly what's going on and why it works and although the founders of AA hit upon something but were never really sure what they were playing with, that she has nailed it and it's all very simple and clear. He also said that he will be sharing quotes of Marisa in his meetings as it's not contradictory at all.

Quite interesting
This is my third book by Marisa Peer and I guess that this one recaps whole her knowledge about self confidence and good habits to train our brain in order to have control of our lives. I really enjoyed it, with her simple language she makes everything looks much easier and possible.

Essential book for living confidently
I love this book, already have it in paperback and audio, but bought this for my granddaughter, who I feel needs to hear this guidance for living confidently within. Will buy more copies as birthdays come up. This message needs to be spread if we are all to live happier and more fulfilled lives.

Wow, transformational
I've really enjoyed it reading this book and also using the hypnosis suggested. I'm actually going to read it again not because it's recommended but to follow the suggestion that repetition is the key. Please read this book, it really is very focused on the helping you "mend" yourself.

My first book that I have read within a day
Love this book. I have been reading it from morning until night. She writes without fluff and in an easy language. With only 114 pages the book is to the point filled with important details and messages that you need to know!

Phenomenal
