If you can not see the camera image through your DVR please try to switch other formats by the menu button on camera wire. Please remove the protection cap of the menu button then push the button to different directions(up, down, left or right) and make sure hold for 5 seconds till you hear the click sound. It is also possible that the camera itself is defective. To test if it is actually powered on please cover the lens and see if the inferred led turns on. That way please just return it.
