I have prayed fences and shed before and did not know about this, so used a fedex box stapled to a piece of furring. This is MUCH better, and makes the job fly. Very adjustable, so you can get it up close to trim, windows and doors. Holds cardboard securely. You will be amazed at how much faster you can go and how much neater you can be when using this (in combination with a threaded broom pole and a piece of cardboard from a box)

Works well, like that it can adjust the angle. The cardboard shields though sag a little bit when they start to get wet with paint. A metal shield will always hold a straight line.
