A class player for the money.
Goodeen 8GB MP3 Players 70 Hours Music Players Lossless Sound Entry Hi-Fi Music MP3 Players Supports up to 64GB SD Card(Black) Second time around as the first one did not work. Goodeen customer services was excellent, other companies could learn from them, I received an email after posting my first review and they offered to refund or replace the player, I took the replace option. The played itself is tiny and light, with few control buttons on the front, the on/off switch is on the bottom but that is all you need. Uploading music (windows 10 OS) is easy, I use the sync option in windows media player and drag and drop the album of choice. And when finished I select "safely remove hardware" then the player updates and off you go. Now the sound is actually damn good, I don`t use any equaliser options, no need to. The volume will go loud enough for all but the deaf, I have tried various different headphones from "in ear" to expensive AKG, GRADO`s etc and all sound good. It is a very good sounding piece of kit, okay it is not touch screen but to be honest touch screens eat battery life and the screen is small but adequate so why pay for more expensive players/gimmicks when in my opinion if all you want is a great sounding music player at a very good price, then this little unit will be more than enough to fill your needs. And if the music capability was not enough, it has video, FM radio, voice recorder and picture facilities of which I will use none of these, others might do, and if you need more room there is a memory card slot on the side.

Too complicated if you just want to play music
The manual is poor. It doesn't even show you on the picture where the on/off button is. It claims that it is compatible with ogg but mine refuses to recognise that format. I cannot reduce the volume as the guide says because a padlock sign locks itself and then it is very difficult to unlock it again. I suspect it is faulty. I really just wanted a cheap and cheerful mp3 player for the gym and the car but this has too many functions. It says please visit our website, but doesn't include that information. That said, I did get some music on it and it does play fine, although slightly louder than I would like.

Good enough for the money.
Lower end player but nice finish, matt should not show finger prints. Menu not the best but not the worst I have come across.Sound quality more than adequate, bought for music only. Comes with headphones and charge/download lead. Added 32GB card, would have been nice if the extra memory was added to the inbuilt 8GB instead of different directories. Interestingly has orientation sensor built in so turn it sideways and the display rotates to accommodate it, nice.

Best MP3 player i've owned for the price paid
I bought this owing to taking extra capacity cards, also theprice being asked. I placed a 64gb SD card into the slot, plugged it into my Windows 10 laptop it recognised it without issues. I then copied over 16gb of music, task completed within 15 mins. Absolutely delighted with my purchase. With the supplied earpiece sound quality was ex, with good bass and tone.Good rubberised coating provided a good grip to the MP3 player. Good FM reception, using the supplied earphones as the aerial. I'm taking this with me daily, has great battery life. For the next model it would be great if the FM radio was replaced with DAB.L

Initial impression was not good as the instructions that came with the device were ...
You should read this BEFORE you buy.Bought to replace an old 160GB IPod classic which was slowly dying despite an expensive repair. Purchased with a Kingston 64GB micro SD card. Initial impression was not good as the instructions that came with the device were very brief and the controls took a bit of time to get to grips with. After a week of daily use I am pleased with this MP3 player but there are many weaknesses with the firmware that some may find annoying. I have only used this player for music and this review only covers this feature.ProsVery good quality reproductionOnce you get used to the menu system it is easy to use.Although not perfect, good value for money when compared to buying a replacement IPod..Have recommended it to friendsReasonably strong construction (yes I have already dropped it a couple of times)Cons1) When you switch device off (or it powers itself off when headphones / earpieces are removed) it does not remember which folder you were listening too. This means that if you have extend the memory with an extra micros SD card you have to select card folder each time you use the device.2) If, like me you spend most of your time listening in shuffle mode, then you have to go through another set of procedures every time you use the device as you have to select what you want to play. You cannot select Menu (top button) at this stage, if you do it will ask you if you want to delete the first item / folder! You have to select an album, select a track; Menu now available. To get shuffle, select Menu, select Play Mode and select all songs.3) The earphones that came with the player looked good but for sound quality was one of worst I have heard. My first impression on using them was that I had wasted my money so I tested the MP3 player with a pair of Sennheiser HDR140 closed HiFi headphones and found the quality was very good. Now regularly use the player with a £5 set of open headphones bought from a discount shop. These have a neck strap that gently holds the earpieces over my ears, I find these much more comfortable than in the ear devices.4) Another big issue with shuffle is that the maximum number of songs that can be shuffled is 4,000! So if like me, you have a collection of over 4,000 tracks then there are some songs that will never come up on shuffle, a bit disappointing.5) A small point but possibly an indicator of the manufacturers attitude of doing everything on the cheap. The player comes in a neat plastic box with a compartment for holding cable and earpieces. But despite being a strong box the lid does not fit back on easily and it does not stay on. A little more thought in designing the box and it could be used for storing the player when not in use..
