Wow. Seriously wow. This dress is incredible. Far better than I expected. I cannot wait to wear this to a dance party and oh how I wish I would have received it last week as I JUST had a Tango competition dance Sunday. There was nothing there that could have compared even slightly.First, stretch velvet and stretchy straps up at the chest too. This is a thinner fabric, a good choice so as not to create bulges or bulk. My 36C-30-36 figure strains this size L getting it over my shoulders and settled in place. However, once in place, fit is just perfect. Unbelievably, I don't even need a bra. No, there are no bra cups sewn in and I suppose some could be added but it doesn't seem to be necessary. Thigh slits are perfectly placed and yes, they are really that high, and yes it looks just as fantastic on a smaller woman who doesn't have mile-long legs like the model here (I'm 5'4" and 130lb). The dress has beautiful movement.What isn't super readily apparent from the pics are the side panels. Do you see the ties at her sides there? Those are a plastic/rubber like material and the side panels beneath those ties are actually a very fine black mesh, nylon like, and a bit see through. Tight dress, more see through. Looser dress, more opaque. As my dress is tight, my pantyhose line may be apparent but I'm hoping that with the zigzagging aspect of the ties, this line might blur and be less noticeable. I rather think that a length of black silk ribbon would be a better choice for the ties. I might replace that aspect.It is very noteworthy that I received this gorgeous little number in only 10 days from China WITHOUT selecting expedited shipping. They had to to my door in only 10 days and I wasn't expected to receive it until December!!! This is outstanding!As I've not yet worn it to a dance, I cannot comment on durability. On inspection before and after trying it on, though, there are no pulled stitches, no asymmetry, and the entire garment is intact. Adding pictures would probably be redundant, though I may add later. Really, what you see on the model is a very accurate representation of what you get and those side panels can actually emphasize your hourglass figure.Overall, I strongly recommend this. I'm very, very pleased with this purchase.

This dress could be cute but they added these awkward cheap feeling and looking “laces” which look and feel like cheap plastic on the sides of the dress (which I found hard to see from the pictures ). I was surprised that they were there. Overall the dress did not fit well. It’s too bad because it looked promising.

For reference, I'm 5'2", 110 lbs, and my measurements are 33-26-34.I've been dancing competitive Latin dance for four years, and I was skeptical of this dress at first because of the price, but the other review sold me on it. I'm here to tell you it's a worthwhile purchase.I ordered this on black Friday, expedited, and the delivery was two days ahead of time.I ordered a small because the other review said the mesh on the sides is more visible when pulled taut, and that's exactly right. I agree the weird faux leather ties could be replaced, but they're not a big drawback at all. There were no uneven seams or hems, it doesn't smell or itch, and it'll definitely be warm for dancing.The hem is a few inches below the knee, but not in a way that looks dowdy or unattractive. The only thing to note is that the top panel that drapes over the breasts is actually two panels, split down the middle. The straps are lovely and snug, and because I have small breasts, I can't see needing cups or a bra underneath, although it could definitely be done. You'll want to wear either matching underwear or see in a bodysuit, because the slits are as high as the picture.The look is gorgeous, the fit is great, construction is solid, and if you're unsure about this dress, take the leap!

Fabric is velvety. Design is lovely. Side rushing camouflages lumps and rolls. It’s just not my style. It’s going back.
