Definitely rustic
We're using this to hold dog leashes and dog-walk related gear. The size is perfect for that, and it is low enough profile that we could hang it in a hall. Functionally it is working well, but I subtracted a star because the wood is not very nice - it has some marks and scars like it's made from used wood - definitely rustic.

This item works perfectly. Goes well with other decor. It's straight to the point. Out the box and hung on the wall. No need to assemble anything. It comes with hooks on the back for easy hanging.
