IRIS USA 4-Panel Dog Playpen, Pet Enclosure, Black

I got this for a small eight week old puppy. I needed to keep him separated from a senior dog that I have here at home. It was super easy to assemble. It seems pretty sturdy, even though the puppy is trying to jump out or knock it down it stays up. I just ordered another one so I can expand it so overall really great product also very affordable.

Easy to assemble. Great for our Pomeranian. Room for food & water bowls, toys & a cushion. Perfect for our puppy.

I have a Yorkshire Terrier, and everyone knows how challenging it is to housebreak a Yorkie. I purchased this pen for this purpose only. The fact that it has a door that latches is a big help. First thing in the a.m., I carry him to the pen and lock the door. I don't want to take him outside since I live in a 2 story walkup, and I don't feel like standing around outside waiting for him to pee. I don't want to use his crate since that's his safe place and not meant to be peed in. I open the door once he has peed and leave it open so he can use it as he needs throughout the day, which is rare since I take him out for walks 3 times a day. This pen is very easy to put together and take apart again. It is rather large (36" square) for such a small dog, but now that he is accustomed to using it as a bathroom, I reduced the size to a 36" x 24" rectangle. I had to be creative because I couldn't purchase new panels from the seller since they don't offer such a thing. Too bad they don't. I removed the two sides and replaced them with two 24" squares I had from an interlocking exercise mat that I had purchased during Covid. I just used Gorilla Tape to attach the two squares to the two remaining 36" panels. So, I still have use of the locking door. This pen is kind of flimsy so it would only work for small dogs/puppies. My Yorkie will stand on his hind legs and lean on the door when he wants out, but the pen doesn't move or fall over. This pen would also work well for keeping your puppy in a safe place when you are unable to watch him closely. And it looks nice too. Of course, not so much with my improvised panels, but the pen is black and so are the exercise panels I used.

Update: I bought a second one so I could give my dog more room (her pee pas took up the whole space) so she’d be more comfortable. This product works for SMALL dogs only. Once expanded it’s very flimsy. You have to pull out the middle panel and create a triangle shape to keep it standing upright. I wouldn’t not recommend for a dog larger than 7 pounds as they will be able to stand up on the panel walls and knock it over. If you need more then a SMALL 4 panel system to contain a pet larger then a toy breed I’d recommend using a diff system. (See last 2 photos) Our little princess is almost 15 which means accidents happen. So when we leave the house for the day we need to secure her to one area. We bought one of those pop up kennels that were supposed to be tear resistant and in one day she found a way to put a while in the mesh and escape. This pet play pen is perfect for her. Not too small. It was very easy to put together. Just line up the hooks and push til you hear the snap. Recommend slightly closing it to get the last two edges to easily click to make the square. I love that it has a door for her to enter though so it’s not always a trap for her. The hinges on the door do not line up well so you have to make sure they’re locked before you leave. The door is the flimsiest part of this whole pen. (Minus a star for that) Looking forward to seeing how she likes the new resting area and seeing if she will use it not just when we’re not home (with the door open)

This is very well made, super sturdy and easy to fold up flat while completely put together, to store behind our couch if needed. We used it for our Chiweenie puppy who can jump super high. He never tried to get out or jump over and he seems much happier in it than a crate when we had to leave. Now that he is completely house trained and stays out when we are gone, the door is great because we leave it open and he likes to go in and nap occasionally or play with his babies. It's kinda his own little hang out spot if he needs it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product or buy another one if we needed it. I purchased the black because in my opinion it looks nice and more like the much more expensive ones. I feel the white ones in other brands look kinda cheap. I can't speak for white in this brand.

Great size for my tiny Chihuahua puppy. Very sturdy and good quality. Low enough that I can reach in to pick her up and change bowls and potty pads. Easy to snap together. The gate is easy to lock and open. I highly recommend!

A great one for puppies; but they out grew it quickly. Store away for later. Easy to snap together and to take apart.

I love this play pen for multiple reasons. Its compact, pretty, and other companies sell a bottom liner for it which looks cute and its functional. I use the puppy playpen as a "mama needs time to relax" and it honestly works so well I'm glad that I'm not a real mom. I'm tired yall. I have a 2 month old frenchie puppy that has more energy than my 3 year old cattle dog. Its waterproof, cheap, and you can see when it's messy because it's white. What I don't like about it - its cute on the outside but on the inside the plastic gates have these grooves that make it difficult to clean if your puppy steps in his poop and then puts paws on the gate panels. Like whyyyy couldnt they fill in the plastic gate panels so there's no groovesssss. If you need to pick up the gate to take it outside to hose down, there's no nice way to fold it up to carry outside and you can't carry it 'as is' because it won't fit through the door. Obviously. The gate doors don't compress against each other when folding while assembled. And you don't want to dissemble it because you're definitely going to flick po0 at things while popping the pieces apart. Overall nice purchase but little adjustments could have made this item more useful in the long term.
