Within minutes after uncasing it, I was playing a little tune. I am fortunate to understand musical intervals, so I could already play this song on the piano. The psaltery arrived tuned and ready to go. I just rosined up the bow and began to play away. I have never owned anything like this before. It is so simple and easy to play. Even if you are not "musical", once you figure out the notes on the scale, you, too, will be playing away and amazing your friends. It is not difficult. I suspect that it will not be too difficult when it comes time to change a string. If you are looking at the cost, it is worth every penny.
