Don't replace the starter on your MTD style riding mower. My Troybilt pony just clicked every time i tried to start it up. I almost replaced the starter and glad I didn't, I only needed this solenoid to make it start up on the first try every time

Although an OEM part it is still a universal type that fits a broad listing of machines. It took me some time with a multimeter to figure out where the wires went and found out that I had an extra one that wasn't used. Would be worth the fifth star is somehow this could bed pointed out in the description, etc.

was cutting the yard last weekend when I stopped to get a beer and upon turning the key to resume all I got was a click (or tick) whatever you call it, its bad news. had to bust out the push mower, wow that thing requires some effort, all the more motivation to start ordering some parts. I also ordered a new briggs starter motor part number 593934 , asin B01ARITKFU.perfect match of both products to the original. double check your model number engine before ordering.cleaned up the cables with a wire brush and found the bolt holding the battery's ground cable to frame mount was stripped so couldn't hold it tight. moved that cable to a different mounting bolt snugged it down and she fired right up so fast its literally like a new mower, amazing!next up is some new deck pulley bearings since all the belts got replaced last year.

This was an exact replacement for the original one on our 2007 Cub Cadet LT1050 mower. It showed good voltage at battery and recently had the original starter replaced so we knew that was good. The starter solenoids commonly fail especially if left out in the weather. The bolts holding the old one were seized so this one was mounted nearby on the frame and works fine with the wires transferred to it. It has been installed and working perfect for months now.
