French Sole FS/NY Women's Sloop Ballet Flat

I was really hoping these flats would work for me. I have very wide feet and it has been difficult to find comfortable flats. I ordered 1/2 size up after reading the reviews, and the width was fine, but the top cut into my feet and hurt immediately. There was also a strong smell that I could not get past. I chose the teal color and was pretty unhappy with the actual color- it was not like the picture at all- more like a dark mint green than true teal. The footbed was relatively comfortable but no arch support whatsoever. I sent these suckers back!

I love these flats, which is weird considering I have a very high arch and these shoes have absolutely no arch support to speak of. However, for whatever reason, they do not make my feet ache even after several days of wear. I have several pairs of these in suede (leopard, black) and regular leather (coral). I have to purchase one-half size larger than my normal size in the suede flats and one whole size larger than my normal size in the regular leather flats. They're still a bit snug immediately after purchase, but, in my experience, after 1 to 1.5 days of wear these shoes conform to my feet and are extremely comfortable. You can dress them up or down for work or casual wear. I suspect I will probably buy some more if a new color or pattern strikes my fancy! My oldest pair I have had for less than a year, so I cannot speak to long-term durability. So far, so good though.

I ordered the chocolate brown French Sole NY Women's Sloop Ballet Flat to go with a chocolate brown velvet outfit. Unfortunately, the brown of the shoe was not the rich chocolate of the outfit, but rather a light brown, and a complete mismatch, totally unlike the color in the photo. Also, the style was unattractive,in person,not to mention uncomfortable and very small! Completely untrue to size. At least 1/2 size smaller than sized. Yuck! Unfortunately, I waited to long to return them, mostly because it was too much trouble, and so I'm stuck with these weird colored, uncomfortable, plain jane flats that don't go with anything. Yuck!

these shoes are very cute and very comfortable. unfortunately, like another reviewer the instep ripped after about a dozen wears. these are delicate shoes and i babied them. i even took them off when i drove so the heel wouldn't get scuffed by resting on the floor. they're so pricey for so few wears. cute and comfy, but be prepared to toss your money, or spend more on a cobbler...keep looking for a better made shoe, i'd say.

The shoes arrived just as pictured and very quickly. As another reviewer stated, order 1/2 a size larger than what you normally wear. Other than that the shoes are comfortable for the style and cut. Buy them, but get a bigger size.

This is my second pair of fs/ny sloop flats. The flats are beautiful, well made, comfortable and versatile. I have worn them with skinny jeans, skirts, dresses etc. The suede is soft and the sole is thin, but even after wearing my first pair almost every single day I never had any issues with the sole wearing out. They do run a little small, and I would suggest ordering one half size up. I usually wear an 8.5 and purchased a 9 twice and was not disappointed with the fit. The shoes do stretch out, but for me the stretching would have not been enough to order my normal size. These shoes are a fashion staple!

I really like these shoes. I did order my size but they were too snug so I sent them back for a half size bigger and they fit perfectly. I bought the black suede and the suede is so soft and molds to your feet. They really do feel like a second skin. Flexible outsole with no arch support but that doesn't bother me since that's mostly what I wear. No toe cleavage shows either. Perfect with jeans. I haven't worn them enough to see how they'll hold up so I'll post again if they fall apart. I'm very happy with these shoes so far.

These are very comfortable and I love the wider toebox...there is no pinching or rubbing. However these shoes are practically slippers and way overpriced for what they are (and I had a coupon!). I doubt they have any sort of durability so they will be going back.
