It does a very, very good job of cleaning and not leaving streaks! I guess the oil is meant to repel debris and sticky messes (which those other products did manage to do) but I couldn’t stand the look of the streaks which I felt made it look like I had not cleaned it all. If you already have fingerprint resistant stainless steel, this product is a complete miracle for you!!! Our fridge is the only stainless steel appliance we have that does not resist fingerprints so that’s why I used it to show this product (because a lot of people don’t have fingerprint resistant stainless steel). There is absolutely no overpowering smell whatsoever, it just smells clean and even that smell dissipates very quickly! I'm trying to clean dried spills from my dishwasher. Will this actually clean, or just polish?** A: It cleans and polishes very well but I am not sure of the end result for dried on stains. My experience with this product was it did a far better job then any other stainless steel product I have ever tried. I hope this helps you. **Q: will it remove rust stains?** A: This product is not abrasive so it will not remove rust. **Q: can this be used to clean laminate countrrtop?** A: I wouldn’t, the can says for stainless steel surfaces, it may be too strong for laminate. I would use a sponge, warm water and some dish soap to clean/scrub it off. You can sprinkle a bit of baking soda on stubborn stains and scrub with the sponge. When done, rinse well with warm water & sponge. Then you can mix 2 cups water with one tablespoon vinegar, spray it on and let sit for 2-3 min then rinse and buff for a shine.
