I bought these lights to replace some halogen fixtures that were in a range hood in one case and a china cabinet in another. In both of those situations the transformer for the halogen lights failed and I could not find a replacement. When I saw these I was pleased with the price and they were the perfect size for my situation. I recently installed them with 2 in the range hood and 2 in the china cabinet. as I said - they are just as advertised and work perfectly. I just hope they last but I do have spares if they should fail. An added bonus is that you can aim them - something that wasn't possible with the halogen. Also - they are 3w each and provide as much or more light as the halogens which were 20w each.
