Highly recommended

This is the best cart I've tried. I've had it for a few years, light use, mainly about a half mile walk to a supermarket and doing laundry in my apartment building. It folds up vertically to take up very little space in my small apartment. Very maneuverable, will turn in its own radius, making it easy to use in stores, etc. The wheels are solid plastic so you'll feel every crack in the sidewalk but that isn't a big deal for me. It has been durable, nothing has broken so far. Will hold 3 bags of groceries, 2 vertical and one horizontal on top. The cloth bag hasn't torn so far. Has a top flap, have never used it in the rain so don't know if it's waterproof. Probably water resistant.

Excellent purchase!!!

I bought this cart over 6 years ago. It is still working perfectly. It folds easily and takes up very little space in my car. I am currently using it as a grocery cart and a walker as needed. It is very stable. I would buy it again if I ever needed to replace it.

Sturdy

This is a very sturdy cart. Easy to open and close and I can’t believe how well it is holding up to heavy heavy usage. Highly recommend.

Worth the $$

A must for city living. I literally couldn't go a day without it. This is my 2nd one. The 1st lasted almost 5 years of grocery and laundry runs. Wheels went a little wonky. Purchased a cheaper one and broke a wheel in 2 mos.. replaced broken wheel with one off the previous versa cart.. that was great, then broke the other wheel 4 Mos later. Now I'm back to the versa cart. Wish I could find replacement wheels because the cart itself is still in great shape. Solid bag and body. Like others I wish the handles were taller but it is what it is.

Love the Versacart

I have the Versacart in my condo in Florida too. I bought it for my condo in NY, it is ideal for bringing my shopping from the trunk of my car to my apartment.

Excellent product

My first VersaCart was still going strong after six years until someone stole it. Excellent product. I use it at the laundromat, grocery shopping, Target, Walmart, everywhere. It is the perfect size, large enough to hold quite a bit while still being conveniently compact and not bulky. It has a cover that will keep things dry in the rain, and it folds up very neatly when not in use. The canvas covers the entire cart, ensuring that nothing will fall out. It comes already assembled, just the front wheels snap right on and it's ready to use. I had a minor issue with the wheels on my second VersaCart and the seller made it right immediately. Great product and great customer service. I highly recommend.

A Tale of Two Carts

So I recently moved in to a great downtown apartment. Like many such apartments, parking is in a garage a couple hundred yards away. The walk crosses a couple streets, goes along a busy sidewalks that have seen better days including a number of large cracks, over a few curbs, down a ramp…up another ramp, on to an elevator, down a carpeted hall and then home. Everything from the parking garage to that last ramp is fully exposed and uncovered. When it rains, I get wet.I found several folding cargo carts at Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, Office Depot and similar places. These are typically the plastic milk crate style box on a cart that folds. I already had a great one of these that I purchased on Amazon a couple years ago. It is far and away the best in that category, but no where near the capacity, volume wise, I was looking for. If that is what you want, I would strongly consider this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003J3XHIW?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpageWith my new move I watched what other people were using – the typical 4-wheeled basket style cart. Through my local searches they were all very lightweight and nothing was covered. Since my intent was to make the trip from car to apartment once when I returned home, I needed to carry my laptop bag, possibly some groceries and/or dinner and usually a few other small items. Some of these would fall out of the basket; very few would withstand water. The first cart I ordered was this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002C7U6UI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00 The Extra Large heavy-duty folding Cart with matching Liner-Basket Cart – Jumbo size from DLUX. I will refer to it as the DLUX cart. I paid $35.71 on Amazon for it. The second was http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000LPFUG8?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00 Folding Shopping Cart – Versacart Utility Cart – Transport Up to 120 Pounds (Water-Resistant Heavy Duty Canvas) from Versacart. I will refer to it as the Versacart. I paid $59.95 on Amazon. Both carts arrived quickly. Both carts were very easy to assemble and required no tools. The Versacart was easier, only requiring that the front wheels be snapped on. The DLUX required all four wheels, some washers and cotter pins. Depending on your finger strength you may need needle nosed pliers to bend the cotter pins. Both can be assembled in well under 5 minutes. The DLUX is the best cart in that class that I have seen. For the basket style cart it is relatively stable, but still “rickety” – but they all are. The wheel are a hard plastic and do not absorb vibrations very well. The wheels do not pivot so any turns require you to tilt the cart back onto the rear wheels Those rear wheels, however, are large and can be pushed or pulled over curbs or large cracks easily. The handle goes all the way across those the grip is a light plastic and rotates over its shaft. If feel a bit cheap but gives you plenty to hold on to. It is also $25 cheaper then the other cart. It isn’t a great cart but I have loaded 100 pounds in it and made the walk several times just fine. It folds very easily in to a flat rectangle and can be stored next to a washer or against any wall or under a bed just fine. It is also very light weight. The Versacart is my go-to. Each of the four wheels is actually a double wheel, rubberized tire setup. The front wheels pivot a full 360 degrees – no tilting back needed to make turns. The cart is heavier than the DLUX since the frame and cargo bag are heavier. The bag is slightly more water resistant – though neither are water proof. While the design of the Versacart would seem not to offer as much support, I feel it is every bit as supportive as the DLUX. It folds in to more of an oversized umbrella shape – both front to back and side to side. Again it can be stored almost anywhere, but it is not as flat and would not fit next to a washer, for example – but easily in the corner of a closet. It is heavier to lift, but easily manageable unless the person is say an elderly woman where every ounce makes a difference. I am not fond of the grips since they are lighter weight than I would like. When loaded they tend to twist and I feel like they may break – but unless the cart is routinely used at maximum capacity this isn’t likely. All four wheel sets are the same size as well – small. Lifting over curbs is not as easy as the DLUX. The design is essentially taken from baby stroller designs instead of the traditional folding basket. It is a modern update in my opinion.Having used both for about two months now I believe the Versacart will last longer, is easier to maneuver, has a slightly large capacity and is better at resisting water. If you need this on a daily basis then I strongly recommend spending the extra money and being done with it. If it is for occasional use and the walk isn’t as bad and you do not need to dodge other people so maneuverability isn’t as much of an issue, the DLUX is a very usable cart.Hope this helps!
