HYS NMO Antenna Mount 3/8" to 3/4" Hole W/13ft RG58U Coaxial Cable to PL259

I bought this a few months back and finally installed it the other day. While it's meant for my ICom 2730A, I'm currently waiting on the loading cable for it, so in the interim I've connected my Baofeng K5+ 10W triband radio. Where my range on receiving was typically around 5-6 miles, I was able to receive a clear signal 25+ miles from the repeater in the mountains of Montana. I installed this on my RAM. I would recommend this for starting out. I don't have an SWR meter, unfortunately, so I cannot give those numbers

I have bought two of these. They feel well made and appreciate the removable end for installation. They are not going to pinch or bind.

I didn't take a picture because with the cable installed it's all hidden in the car. But both ends are finished off well. It is sturdy and it will work well. Happy with the purchase.

Buena calidad

I was hesitant to purchase because of the price, but it seems fairly decent. The underside of the N connector IS NOT WEATHERPROOF. You will need to apply liquid electrical tape to waterproof this. There is a 'dust cap' but that doesn't really fit properly anyway. On the other end, the strain relief on the UHF connector was just sliding up and down the coax. I wrapped the connection with 2 wraps of electrical tape and that gave it enough thickness to keep the strain relief in place. Continuity checks out and swr is good so we'll see how longevity goes. I'll find out tomorrow how it goes with noise as some has said they have increased engine and electronics noise with the coax. I had zero noise previously, so we'll see how that goes.
