This is exactly what I was looking to get. I have an iPhone only now. I got rid of the land line. One issue I was having is being able to navigate the iPhone keypad in a timely manner while on a call. You know the times when you make a call and the first thing you hear is “listen to the menu of selections, because our menu has changed”. You must press a number or a series of numbers to proceed to the next menu … etc. Even worse is when you are asked to type in a long series of numbers like your social security number or your 8 digit pass code.I am blind and sometimes find I am not quick enough to get the keys on the touch screen. This phone is all I need. Today I called the local pharmacy and was presented with a menu of selections to get the answers for the hours of operation. Not only was I able to navigate the menu selections over the phone, I was able to dial the local pharmacy with my voice, by just pressing a button on the new desk phone. The phone is easy to operate with no hard-to-navigate touch screens. I walk up to the phone and press *01 to reconnect my iPhone and then I have my new desk phone ready to go. I love this. One other thought. My mother, who is no longer with us, had a cell phone. It was too complicated for her to use. We wanted her to have a cell phone in case she was out, and we needed to contact her. Since she did not use the cell phone, we just discontinued it. If she had one of these desk phones she could have operated her phone at home just like a regular desk phone. Then while out we could get hold of her in case of emergency. One more thing. My phone with the Beetle subcase did not fit in the charging cradle. My wife’s phone with the slimmer case did fit. Not a big deal since you do not need to have the phone in the cradle to work. When I upgrade my iPhone, I’ll look for a slimmer case so it will fit. No problem.
