A True Hero
I first read this book aloud to my kids two years ago and at that time Brother Andrew’s testimony of passionate living for Christ led our family to do something radical as wellTwo years later and I can affirm that that are zero regrets with our “Brother Andrew” decision. God’s plan for those who call Christ their Lord is to live lives that are selfless and “out-of-the-box”.Brother Andrew is still alive and I read an interview he had done. He was asked if he had to live his life over would he do anything different? He responded that he would have risked more. I was wrecked. Here was a man who in my opinion had lived like no one I’ve ever known of and he was wishing he’d have risked more. A true hero in every sense of the word!Only one life t’will soon be past,Only what’s done for Christ will last.Read it and be challenged.

Inspiring Story Of A Christian Goliath
Quickly read this inspiring true story of a man that was not equipped or trained to be a world wide evangelical messenger of Jesus Christ, but trusted God to equip him for the task. I did think that the writer could have given more details about how Andrew lived while distributing Bibles in closed countries; how he was housed and who helped him, protecting those identities, of course. The end of the book felt truncated and unsatisfying. I think it should be developed more and reprinted.

encouraging
I am reading this book with my eight-year-old son. It is a little over his head but he loves it anyway. Lots of adventure for a boy who likes action. Brother Andrew's story is a strong testimony to the power of God. This is illustrated in very practical ways, such as in provision of a car, or in finding trustworthy contacts behind the iron curtain. As a Christian, I find it very encouraging in my faith to read books like this. Although the paper quality is poor, the book is so good I'd say buy it anyway. I wish it were available in hardcover.

Riveting and Bold
A well-written story of Brother Andrew's life, from his days as a belligerent non-believer, to becoming a young man full of passion for God. Our family read this book aloud. Although we skimmed over and summarized many of the atrocities of the war between Holland and Indonesia (while reading the book aloud), the adventures of Brother Andrew's life will enthrall listeners young and old.

A Truly Caring Man
For anyone remotely interested in what drives someone to go as far as Andrew has, this is certainly an essential work.I found it quite fascinating as to what actually drove Andrew to go from a rather wild lifestyle to go as far as smuggling one million bibles into China. Then there is hhis very risky undercover work within the Middle East and elsewhere. A truly amazing man.

Another inspirational story about a man whom God changed, This is up-to-date too, as Brother Andrew is still alive.
A book to help anyone to see that life can be wonderful. This man is still changing the lives of other people, and it's great to read how this is still happening today.

Brother Andrew is a super book.
Brother Andrew is a super book .. I am reading it to my grandsons. They are so excited each time we read to find out what Brother Andrew is doing next. Due to the war stories and some violence I think it's likely best for 10 and up but with discussion it's a good way for young minds to learn about missionaries, war, communism etc.
