Nutro Wild Frontier High Protein Grain Free Wet Cat Food

While my cat loves the flavor, this food did not seem to help him feel full. He is 12 lbs, not over weight and was recently diagnosed with diabetes. I stared feeding him this food along with canned chicken mix to get a higher protein based food. He didn't seem to be getting enough to eat even though I was feeding him both sections 2 times a day along with the Swansen's Canned Chicken. He was also scratching a lot. I thought he had developed allergies along with the diabetes....which the Veterinarian confirmed. BUT, After two months I switched from this food to a food for diabetic cats. He didn't like it at first so I again mixed the canned chicken with it to give him the flavor he really likes and he started feeling much better and his itching stopped. Even though this food is grain free, there was something in it that made him itch. My cat now eats less, is feeling content and happy. So if your cat is diabetic, this food may not be the way to go. Plus it is a little pricey for all the more you get.

I buy my cat food and send it to my mom who watches him and I got this text from her about my cats reaction to the change in food: “You should have seen the ugly scene. I let Dizzy try a pack of the new food yesterday. This morning I gave him the old stuff. He has so mad. His ears were down yelling at me. I tried to pet him and his ripped his head away all pissed.”Dizzy had been eating only the turkey pate nutro for some years now bc he won’t eat anything else but he eats like 4-5 packs a day! He’s an outdoor active cat about 15 years old. We try to give him the best food we can afford bc of his age and he’s a bit sickly. I decided to try this higer protien nutro to see if it keeps him fuller so he doesn’t eat so much food and cost me less in the long run. Apparently this is heartier than the regular nutro and takes him longer to eat (so more than 5 seconds). And he seems to prefer the taste to the old stuff (regular turkey pate nutro). He’s so spoiled I guess this will be the new go to food. Hopefully he eats less so the price balances out bc this is an extra $10 a pack and he eats 2.5 packs a month so it adds up fast!

First of all, this stuff smells AWFUL! We had to take the empty containers to the outside trash right away. The cats did not like it, and one got an allergic reaction complete with hair loss. Ask you vet before wasting the money.

Ayla is 16 years old and has had a lot of her teeth removed due to dental abcesses. She has a sensitive digestion, vomits most cat food brands, and she has trouble chewing. This brand works for her, and she loves it. Sheba and BFF also are good choices for her.

A little more expensive per once than canned food, these really are the perfect portion if you need to feed just 1 cat. I have one sick kitty who is a picky eater and needs to be fed often so I tried these Nutro perfect potions. They are very handy and he loves the salmon and trout. I don't really love the packaging but this is the design that several companies are using now and it does work fine.

i have 2 maine coon cats; total 35 lbs of kitty. i feed them canned for 2 times a day. i really like this small packaging because you don't waste any food. it is frustrating and a waste of money for uneaten cat food.we are stitching to a different flavor with the gravy bits, but really really good product.

How do you rate a cat food? You have to let your cats do it!. Both of mine, one who eats almost anything and the other a bit more picky, both do not like this food. I had to mix it with foods they like to get them to consume it. I am disappointed because the food seemed to be of a high quality and high protein content.

Getting this out of the plastic container is an exercise in leaking liquid getting all over everything, and is really NOT EASY either to open or to serve. For this reason I will not buy again - which is too bad because my cat really enjoys it.

2 cats one used to high end foods the other grocery store brands (rescued recently) neither want this food which in theory should be great but the best food is good your cat eats.

I thought the product description said 48 servings -- so that means there should be two boxes of this product. The price is for two boxes. I received one.

I love that my cats love this food plus it's healthy for them

He really digs the beef flavor. Doesn't make him sick and he seems pretty happy when he eats it.
