I use it as a preventive measure in high mileage transmissions that is not yet leaking. I use it to keep the soft seals pliable before they leak. Automatic transmissions have many soft seals internally that are subject to leaking and yet will not leave an ATF puddle on the ground. Caught early enough a leaking external seal can be helped with this stuff.
