Brilliant. Can’t fault it. Chuffed to little mint balls!
My old faithful pedometer finally failed. After having to return a wrist fitness tracker, because it was too big for my wrist, I decided that a plain, simple pedometer had been good enough for all these years, so I narrowed them down to three, then plumped for this one. Since it’s arrival, I’ve worn it every day AND I LOVE IT! There is nothing not to like.It looks so robust and the colour is lovely. Activation is very easy - just remove the sticker from the screen and pull out the battery insulation tab. Mine already showed 10 steps and still didn’t change when I walked around for about 20 steps, so I just pressed the reset button, the screen went to zeros and I was good to go. To test it, I was counting the steps in my head as I was walking around, and going up and down stairs, and I can say it is very accurate. Every time you move, it doesn’t start to count your steps until you have done 10 steps, then adds these to the total. This is to prevent movements that aren’t steps being recorded in the total. When you sit/lie down, the screen knocks itself off, to preserve the battery life. The screen is a great size and so easy to see, even if you are walking or running. If you want to start your step count again the next day, you have to manually reset the pedometer, but that takes a couple of seconds. You can clip the pedometer to your clothes, wear it on the lanyard, (which it included), or pop it in your pocket or bag. The clip is nice and strong and the holder is shaped so that the pedometer won’t work loose when you are walking or running. I could wax lyrical about this all day! So pleased with my purchase. I shall update this review in a few months, with regards to battery life.UPDATE: Since buying my pedometer, I have worn it many times while running in the rain and it is very rainproof. Also, I have tested while sitting in the car, on a fairly bumpy journey, and it didn't register any steps. It's just a brilliant little pedometer.

Perfect little gem!
I am absolutely thrilled with this step counter! So easy to use and small enough to fit in my jeans front pocket. Have had step timers on my mobile phone which just didn't work - probably because I carry my phone in my bag - and I didn't need all the calorie counting, stair counting, etc. Just simply wanted to have an accurate count of how many steps I had taken and this little gem fits the bill perfectly! Would certainly purchase this again.

Simple, functional, reliable step counter
A great wee step counter for every time you want to record your steps. It seems to be pretty accurate as any false moves are not read and when it switches off automatically after a break in activity it will automatically start the count again after 10 steps. It is on the pricy side though. Comes with a clip to attach to clothing/belts etc and lanyard to hang round your neck aswell.

Exactly what was required.....
Bought for my 87 year old husband who walks every day...doesn't need anything more complicated. It counts his steps and then he is keen to see the distance in miles. Assume it is pretty accurate but pin point accuracy isn't a priority. Not having to set up a complicated device and a clear readout are both essentials. In this respect this little gadget is 5*

you can count on it :)
*exactly what I wanted, absolutely simple does not do anything except counting steps, no wireless no apps no phone just plain simple device*activates by starting to walk or shaking it*goes to sleep during inactivity*does not count first 10steps but if you do 11steps all 11 steps will be counted, I personally think that it is a great thing as often times devices such a Fitbit are overly sensitive and counts steps even when you sneeze and not walk*took it for the test - walked for 40 minutes outside, taking lots of turns , running for a bit, walking fast walking slow, jumping here and there and took my phone with me as well as a Hand Held Tally Counter to see how many steps it would counts; was well impressed as it was off by 23 steps comparing to tally counter while my smart phone app was off by 425 steps*counting is reliable and better then smartphone apps*counting my weekly steps so I am resetting it only once a week and it continues to count from day to day without loosing step count from previous days*a top loop is great if you want to attach it via lanyard to your your trousers for added security and be sure you don't loose it even though the clip is strong enough*can be removed from the holder but I don't do that often*using it every day for good 5-ish months and battery still lasts*sturdy plastic and easy to read display*pricey but well worth it for me :)

OK for measuring continuous walking or running in a straight line
If you want to measure your walking or running outside the house, this is OK and fairly accurate, but if you want it to measure all your daily steps, you are likely to be disappointed, as it only measures continuous steps going in a straight line and only after a minimum of 10 steps. Sequences of a few steps with breaks between will show as nothing. Many of us move about the house in a stop/start manner, as we get ready in the morning, go about kitchen jobs etc, often using 10 steps or less at a time and these can add up to a lot of steps, but they won't be recorded, so you won't get a realistic estimate of how many steps you are really doing in a day.,It is in itself easy to use, fairly robust, with a decent clip and has already survived having been dropped (twice!). I like its simplicity, the fact that it's not smart, but I hadn't appreciated its limitations when I bought it.
