I used this tension rod to attach to the viral target bookshelf. While it is sturdy, the screws are too long to drill into something like a bookshelf. Luckily I had shorter screws laying around that worked fine.

Amazing product!!! Super sturdy! I bought to use for clothes, and its amazing. Ive gone through about 5 different bars till I found this one! Amazing!!! The extra bars screw into the main bar, and the main bar adjusts with a little bead piece. (Don't know what to call it) This is an all around amazing design and amazing product! I purchased 2 different sizes and they both help up to their job!!
