Out of the about 15 different cat foods. This one gets devoured on a consistent basis
Pros: no funky smell. Cats devour this everytime, and I have picky eaters. It looks good enough to put on and make a sandwich out of.Cons: Even though this is a really awesome "eccezionale" Italian company. This food is sourced in Thailand. Just like all the other fancy brands of weruva, tiki cat, BFF. Open nature and tons of others. After watching the seaspiracy documentary recently I am concerned exactly where and what the "whitefish" is ? how it is sourced and verified? They say it's human grade good. So in theory I should be able to eat this and not get sick.I would love to see a how it's made documentary showing sourced from start to finish with factory conditions etc.2The pouches also don't just slide the food out, the folds on the bottom of the packet always end up leaving a nice .3 of an ounce in liquid or stuck food. Where u have to squeeze and put effort to scoop it out. I don't like to waste food.It is also 100% not recyclable in most facilities.Hard to do when you have a hungry kittens jumping in excitement. This food will continue to be in my cats rotation (as they are still above the rest of all the other fancy brands) Until I get more data :)Update 6/13/21 : Huge WarningMenadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex (Source Of Vitamin K Activity)) = Major allergen in small % of cats.My kittens are now 10 months. Littermates. Siblings. One of them had constant inflammation issues that my first (not so good) vet kept thinking was a flea allergy. Watery stools, discolored. Bump on Forehead. Lip Sores aka Rodent Ulcer aka Granuloma Complex. Then inflamed lower lip. Had to have her on Steroids and meds for a month to calm down. Then a second round. Vacuuming every day. Flea bombed the house. With no real evidence of fleas. 2nd Cat started scratching a patch raw to blood in neck area. Not healing for over a month. Took him to an allergist specialist. Skin scrape analyses. Found no mites, no abnormal skin bacteria, no eggs. Narrowed down to food allergy. After many food trials (which are a major pain in the * and expensive) found they did great on Rabbit and lamb. Introduced raw chicken of another brand. Results are good. Brought back Almo food in chicken and within a week. Itching non stop, upset stools. After further blood work and analysis and money down the drain. They determined that the common trigger here is Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex (Source Of Vitamin K Activity)).Now obviously not all cats have these issues with the synthetic K. But please be advised not everything is made the same. But if your using this product or any product containing synthetic vitamin K and having these issues try to eliminate it to see if you have relief.Turn out they are not allergic to chicken at all but to the synthetic form of Vitamin K.

By far my cats’ favorite — NOT a primary food though
Both of my cats loooove this stuff. They can’t get enough of it. They have the strongest reaction ever to this food, compared to the dozen+ other high quality wet foods and treats I provide them. That said, the protein to fat ratio of this food is something like 4:1, where the healthier ratio is something more like 2:1 — this is all assuming few to no carbs of course. In other words, this is *not* a balanced diet. If you don’t believe me, go check the feeding notes on Chewy, which is generally a trustworthy source. This food should be treated somewhere between a rare treat or maybe as a “side dish” to each meal. You should be using a different food with the correct protein to fat ratio as their main food.I wish they made this more clear on their packaging instead of leaving for me to figure out by themselves.

Received only 12 packets 3 times
I have ordered this cat food 6 or 7 times and three times I received only 12 instead of 24 packets. Amazon corrects the mistake so it all works out in the end. Cats like it!

great food but so expensive
My cats love Almo Nature. Food quality is great but my goodness, the portion is small, calories are less than 50 per can, and the price is really expensive. I will only buy it if it is on sale from now on.

Kitty likes this!
I like these pouches. They are easy to dispense if you have a mobility impairment and function from a wheel chair. The only downside is that there is only about a serving per pouch; convenient, but pricey. However, they are worth it, considering they are healthier for your cat than dry kibble. This is important if your pet has pancreatitis, and should not be given dry food. Cats need hydration, and these pouches fill the bill and also provide variety.

Looks Good!
Looks and smells so fresh and healthy but cat won't touch it. Another contribution to the shelter.

It’s all my cat will eat
My cat won’t eat any brand but Almo. It’s processed in a facility that processed food for people as well so it’s really high quality. My older cat with cancer also only ate this brand until she passed at 15. She got especially picky during chemo but would always scarf this down
