After taking a Traeger cooking class, someone pointed out a nifty trick:Wear these with over-sized nitrile gloves over top (for fluid-proofing), and the cotton keeps the heat away from your hands! Works better than oven mitts, and you don't have to worry *too* much about spills going through the gloves and burning your hands (but do keep the fluids below the wrist cuffs or you'll deep-fry your hands!). Allows me to pull briskets and pork butts right off the grill with my hands if needs be :DThey can be washed, but the weave is really open, so... they fall apart after about 3 washes. Cheap enough to not worry about it.

I bought these for BBQ, paired with nitrile gloves (over the top). They seemed thin so I was skeptical. Nope! These work great for BBQ (again, with a waterproof glove over the top, nitrile in my case). They can get hot if you touch something for too long, but I've never had a problem handling meat with them on (again, with a nitrile glove overlay). The reason I'm finally reviewing it is because I made pulled pork (a Boston butt) and was able to EASILY shred the pork with my hands using these gloves and a nitrile glove over the top.I've used these probably a dozen times now and have yet to need a second pair (and they come with 6 pairs), so I'm not seeing much (none actually) wear or tear yet.If you're looking for an insulator to pair with nitrile (or latex) gloves for BBQ, these ABSOLUTELY work!!!

About 55 years ago I froze my hands while working on a mountain top at a radio tower removing snow. Now the last couple years my left hand is bothered by the cold temps. So during the cold weather I wear one glove on the hand even in this old house. It does get drafty. 12 pairs of gloves which can be worn on either hand (There is no left or right). They are the most comfortable that I have found. Now I have enough to last for awhile. Washable and I havent worn even 1 out as yet.

I have pretty bad eczema on my hands that flares up CONSTANTLY whenever I do laundry or anything that gets my hands wet and exposed to irritants such as detergents, etc. I love the smell of laundry detergent so I've never just bought non-scented. I've just dealt with the havoc that it leaves on my hands until I found these gloves. These are seriously life changing! I can do laundry now and my hands are perfect after. No eczema, no irritation, etc. The best part is the fabric on these- it's so nice to have gloves that aren't latex! Your hands won't get sweaty and they won't smell after taking them off. I've washed these gloves and they came out looking and feel great still. HIGHLY recommend for anyone with any type of skin condition or just sensitive skin.

bought these to wear UNDER nitrile gloves for handling hot meat on a grill / smoker.works great! dissipates heat well. you can handle meat without worry.

I use these gloves for a variety of things. They are handy when the weather is cool enough to want some covering on my hands but not cold enough to be comfortable in regular gloves. They also work well as glove liners, such as using moisture proof gloves in cold weather to keep my hands from contacting the cold material of the moisture proof gloves. There is nothing I dislike about these gloves.

I bought these gloves to use while I'm BBQ'ing or smoking. I put nitrile gloves over them, and these gloves provide enough thermal protection so that I can pick up and handle hot meats with my hands.This pack is going to last me forever. Even after a couple washes they hold up well enough to keep reusing. I've only thrown away one pair after a few mo this of use.

I'm immunocompromised. If I'm to get gas or food... ...yeah, so I need *something*, and I didn't want to waste the environment with latex, etc, and wanted comfort, and these are fantastic. Highly recommend. It's cotton, yes, so won't prohibit all germs - only latex and the like will.
