Pretty short
I have only had an opportunity to play with these, not use them for real. But they are just barely long enough to create a 3 wrap Prussik hitch on a rope 7/16" in diameter, and that takes some finagling and can't be done quickly. They would be absolutely too short for anything more than a 2 wrap Prussik on a 1/2" rope or thicker. They seem well made but I would have been much happier with these if they had been 1 inch longer.

Perfect prussik
This thing is awesome!I bought two due to the price.Quality stitched. I like that you can pass the “slack” through the heat shrink to accommodate different wrap configurations. It’s stiffer than a hollow block or auto block.

I think the length is perfect.
Some people complain that it is slightly too short. I wrap it around a 1/2 inch lanyard. It is a little tight to get the last wrap set but when you get it on, it's length makes it easy to dress, compact and neat. I liked it so much, I bought a second one.

Great product and value!
A little stiff out of the box but a very strong and sure prussic device I’m using for an 8mm Sterling Oplux line. Great product and price!

Short and tidy.
Way better than tying your own loop. And stronger too.Yes, it is about as short as you'd ever want for a prusik, but it keeps the extension short and is a lot less bulky.

Good price but short
12 inches may be too short. It only allows for two raps for the pruzik. I usually prefer 3.

Honestly don't do your research
Really not worth it if you're intending on using this for ascending or descending. It's too thin and will bite hard on the rope close to peak ascent. Making descending a mf. Go for 8mm... and not 12 inches. Lol. I've only ever used this for demonstration on friction hitches, and gave it a whirl for poor man flip line adjustment (fail)

Not a Beal jammy
Rena fine slides a little bit more than I would like on sterling ropes
