"The System That Really Holds Water" ASK WATERBASED EPOXY is water based epoxy coating suitable for all applications where concrete or masonry requires waterproofing and protection. It is applied in the same manner as ordinary emulsion paint with the added benefit of application in damp conditions. Once dried ASK WATERBASED EPOXY leaves a tough, non toxic, waterproof, easy to clean surface. Location of use Basements and areas needing a damp proof membrane. Water tanks and sewerage treatment plants. Abattoirs and fisheries. Dairies and milking parlours, food factories and breweries. Grain silos. Chemical industry garages. Bunds and water plants. Curing Tough cure in 4 hours – hard dry in 12 hours – maximum cure 8 days. Once cured can withstand pressure washing, steam cleaning and washing with sterilizing liquids. Packaging Two part product which when mixed gives 5 litres, 2.5 litres and 1 litre depending on size purchased. Clean, easy to use, recyclable packaging. I’m building a toilet/shower in my camper van and had done the tanking, found out that the paint I was going to use ( was recommended to me) would affect the tanking (waterproofing of the panels). Researching on google bought me to this product, as it’s water based and not solvent based it so safe for the tanking. I phoned the company owner and he was extremely helpful, it’s used on swimming pools, food factories and breweries and can be power washed. I bought two tins of the 1ltr size for doing two coats. Really easy to use by mixing the two parts together and stirring well then adding water gradually and stirring well. Coverage was very surprising, a can goes a long way! Enough to partially second coat my room. I highly recommend this product if you’re looking to do something similar. Bought it for a damp garage wall that was getting mouldy. Cleaned off the mould and applied this all over the brickwork. No more damp coming through the bricks, smell of damp has gone and it looks nice and clean too. Really impressed. Would buy again if I needed to tackle damp. It was easy to brush on with a normal brush and coverage estimate was pretty accurate even on the back of bricks. The trick is mixing with plenty of water otherwise it thickens quite quickly.
