She explains so many things that make parenting make sense. I have felt uneasy parenting the way my parents did (verbal smack downs, etc), but didn't fully have the tools to go about it another way. Mrs.Knost explains why those tactics didn't work. She gives wonderful examples of how to go about parenting in a gentle way. The chapters are short enough I can read them and process them as they fit to my life.
