Good for the price
I keep my hammock outside for the summer so I didn't want to spend a lot for it. I am hoping to get a season or two of use. Some of the knots weren't tied too tight. It is stretchy. I use chain to hang from a stand and I had to move the hooks that it hangs from up a few links after using. It is comfortable and plenty wide. Depending on how long it lasts, I may go with a more expensive hammock next time.Update December 2015 in use for four years and still good. No rotted or broken ropes or wood header. After some initial stretching when first used, I didn't see any problems. Would buy this product again.Upgraded to 5 stars for durability.

double cotton rope hammock
I read a lot of reviews prior to purchasing this product. I have owned 2 of the expensive hammocks prior to this one. It arrived quickly, and was packaged well. I was able to hang it in the same location as the expensive ones (from my garage to a tree)...it is the same size. The rope is very soft...the upside is that it is very comfortable- the downside is that it is stretchy, so you may have to pull it tighter than the expensive variety in order for you not to sag too low when in it. I only hang my hammock outside for about 4-6 months. I live outside Chicago and it endures rain, wind, etc., but is taken in every winter. The expensive versions only lasted 2 to 3 summers each, and I would expect this to last about the same amount of time. Seems like a better use of my money, if they have about the same lifespan. The price was right, and I am happy.

We live in Florida and the sun can be pretty brutal, there was also a lot of rain ...
We bought this in October of 2014. For the price I think this is a decent product. The wooden pieces have faded and chipped in the sun. The white fabric has turned an ugly brown and requires cleaning a couple times a year when left outside, which is a pain. It was exposed to the elements on our patio and not covered by anything. We live in Florida and the sun can be pretty brutal, there was also a lot of rain this year.

Great Hammock
We have a hammock my wife uses every weekend. It is under some trees in our backyard and is one of my wife's favorite places. She spends many evenings and weekends in the hammock reading so comfort is a prime concern when it came time to replace the hammock. We did some research reading other reviews and decided to give this hammock a try.The hammock arrived in long box very quickly after ordering. Unpacking it and getting getting it ready to hang was easy. It fit the hammock stand we have perfectly. It came with two chains so you can easily adjust the length. The ropes are a nice diameter and are very soft. The hammock is very comfortable to lay in and doesn't cut into you as some cheaper hammocks do.I recommend this hammock.

Don't buy!
CHEAP! The product is so poorly made there were loose knots throughout the weave because string remnants were used. The string has no elasticity so as soon as you sit in the hammock you go straight to the ground. I guess you get what you pay for. Next time I'll spend more money and get a real hammock that is designed for actual use by a real person.

Requires Stretching
Initially, this hammock didn't fit in our hammock stand. After quite of bit of stretching, we were able to pull it far enough to reach both sides of the stand. Some of the gaps between the ropes are big enough to drop a cantaloupe through. Some reconfiguring of the ropes was needed.Very comfy. Wide enough for two people.Update: we've had this hammock outside for several years now and it's still going strong.

So-so hammock
It's one thing to think you're getting a bargain, and another to find you've purchased something cheaply made. The rope on this hammock is thin, and the weave and the twist on the ropes is VERY loose. We live in New England, so practically speaking, we get about three months' use out of a hammock in a calendar year, and when they're not being used, we take them in. The hammock we were replacing it with (similar design, but much better quality)lasted us over ten years. They looked similar, but that's where the similarity ended. If we get two years out of this hammock, I'll be surprised.

High quality at a great price.
So far this is been a GREAT hammock. I added this to my 12ft stand and it just barely fits. I would like to have a little bit larger stand. It's a very comfortable hammock- it gets used almost everyday in the summertime. It's high quality at a great price. I will buy it again.

Weave Too Loose
The quality of the weave isn’t great. For the size of the hammock (width) the weather e should have been smaller and tighter. As soon as you sit or lie on the hammock the weave spreads too much and is uncomfortable.

Arrives short but stretches out
I almost returned this hammock because straight out of the box it's only 10 feet long. It has to stretch. It looked ridiculous when I first put it up (between two trees 11' apart) - like a super wide clothesline hung 5' in the air. After the first use it stretched to closer to 12' and continues to stretch with each subsequent use. For us, it keeps getting better as it stretches but for those with hammock stands, the constant retensioning will probably be annoying for the first little while.Good quality though. Similar to the one we replaced so it met my expectations.
