As a person who grew up in arcades, I like the positive feeling of an old-school dipswitch button, but as far as I know, they are not made to be hooked up with modern arcade controller boards, say for a Raspberry Pi. The buttons don't click like a classic arcade button, but sturdy nonetheless. The led effect is pretty awesome. My only advice is to make sure not to have any positive/negative ends touch on the daisy chained led wires. If you have extras not being used and they are touching, it'll temporarily short the chain out, and the buttons won't light up. Meaning, I was not hoping I would end up with a super duper joystick. It was easy to assemble. Retropie identified it without a problem. The only problem is precision and some delay with buttons.
