I've use this brand several years ago & been impressed. Kept it chained hanging from my stethoscope at work, took a lot of abuse & never malfunctioned not once. So far this product exhibit the same durability & reliability. It's small as it fits my needs & does what it's supposed to do. Ink tray slides out for refill. Previous owners of trodat products should find refilling easy. I use this to keep track of the kids drawings from daycare so they can appreciate their handiwork in the years to come. Delivery was prompt & only took a couple of days. Excellent & reliable little date stamp. Another reasonable purchase for me to keep coming back to amazon.

It is perfect for contracts or other documents that require just a date stamped. No smudge, just a simple and easy tool to have in the office.

This date stamper looks & is small. Howerver, it's very well made in Austria. The printed date is very neat & clean, without shadows. The ink dries in a few seconds & changing dates does'nt ink your finger. That said, for some odd reason it does'nt recommend to ink the pad, but change the whole pad. Obviously I'm going to ink the pad all the same !!

Impossible to change date, ink gets everywhere! I threw it out

I read the previous reviews about this small date stamp and still I went ahead and bought it. It is small so you have to use your fingertips to move the dials or keys, whatever its called to change the numbers and months individually. You do get ink on your fingers and it does take a few days for it to come off, even with soap and scrubbing. :( Not a big deal but when you stamp, the numbers are a bit spaced a part for my tastes. For example, March 14, 2014 will show up like March 1 4, 2014. The 14 would be spaced a bit apart - I don't know know why. It's good for starters but upgrade to a better one when you are able to are comfortable with. I might do the same. The ink pad is good though.. figuring out how to use the numbers as in which is 1 and which is 4 or how to do the placement is a bit annoying but once you get it down, no big deal. Again, I like it but don't love it.

I post updated information on the Missionary Board at church. I was writing in the dates until a light bulb went off in my brain finally. This date stamp works good for what I needed it to. Easy to change dates and nice dark print.

The other reviews are correct, it leaves black ink on my fingers when changing the date. Also, hard to tell what date you're setting, because of the way the self inking works. You can't actually see the date you'll stamp because it is facing up into the stamp pad, just takes some getting used to, and if you're changing the date and stamping everyday, probably not an issue, since you just move the day ahead by one. Not a big deal, and not sure how to fix the problem, since I wanted the self-inking convenience.

Works well

Worked excellent for about a year. Used several times a week. Then the digit rubber stalled on 5 but I was still able to use it. And now both numbers are not turning correctly. It’s been well taken care of, and not damaged.

Easy to change date daily. Lots of ink. Highly useful when you want to write a quick post it note and make sure the recipient can clearly see the date. Useful for dated record when I snap a photo of that note too ;)

Very handy and works perfectly for daily use. The print is clear, and the date adjusts easily. I like that it’s compact and made with recycled plastic. Great quality and definitely useful for organizing papers, student work, and office tasks!
