It works, and it folds up.
A couple of quick notes for the casual observer:THE GOOD.1. The hook folds to the side when not in use. It is a little locking mechanism so the hook does not flop around.2. There is a belt loop and a belt clip on the back. It can be threaded onto a belt or just clipped on and off. I actually use both as my belt is nylon webbing separated from a velcroed foam padding support. Thread the belt through and clip it to the padding. Super secure.THE NOT-SO-GOOD.1. It's called "Leathercraft," but the item is nylon.2. I would have liked a magnetic section for bits and screws. I suppose I could just add that myself.3. The belt loop hole is a little small for my belt buckle to fit through. (It's a nylon belt with a quick clasp, so it's the same size on both ends.) I had to really wiggle and finesse it on there. I guess that means it won't fall off easily.THE BAD.There isn't really anything that's bad for the price. I used it, it worked. It cost less than $6.

Good For Smaller Drills/Impacts. Not So Much For Larger Ones.
I bought this for myself to use at work, where I carry a Milwaukee 1/2” Impact with a 6” extension and 1” or bigger sockets, and while it works well, I think the sheer size of the impact, extension, and socket makes it sit oddly for me. I have used it at home with a Milwaukee drill/driver and a Milwaukee 1/4 Impact with no issues. The only complaint I have is that the belt clip can dig into my bony hips, but as mentioned before, a little grinding will take care of that!

Best inventions are simple ones.
I bought the CLC Custom Leathercraft 5024 Cordless Drill Hook a couple months ago. And it had streamlined a problem I've had for a few years. I work as a Maintenance Tech and bounce from job to job all day. I OFTEN find myself on a step ladder or walking from my truck with a drill, tool bucket and applicable materials. I can hang my drill or impact from this hook and free up a hand for measuring/marking or what have you. I've tried other styles like holster type but they just didn't suit me.I will say this,,, I always clip this on my belt. The weight of my 20v DeWalt drill and the bend in the belt clip dug into my skinny hips. I put the clip on a bench grinder for a couple seconds and problem solved. Solid product, use it every day at work!!

Needs a through the belt loop to keep from getting pushed off when squatting
This product needs a "through the belt loop" to get a 5star from me. The clip gets pushed up off my tool rig belt when I squat down, and falls off. This occurs because I have to wear it on the front of my tool rig. It would work as is if one were to clip it on their side. Otherwise quality and workmanship is excellent.

Simple and so helpful
I resisted buying one of these because I didn't think I really needed. Then I noticed how often I jam the drill under my armpit or try to cram it into my back pocket long enough to do something with both hands. Or I'd balance it on something, an accident waiting to happen. Yeah, I was being dumb. Get these, they're really useful. I like the simplicity. Its a hook and doesn't try to be anything more than that. The feature to swivel it out of the way is brilliant.

Does its job
I purchased this to replace an old leather drill holder that kept banging my leg, and seemed to release the drill at its own convenience. This item sits well on my tool belt, and can fold flat when not in use, but keeps the drill right where you need it when working, and it is very easy to use. Its well made and strong enough even for my Sawzall when I've hooked it through the handle.

Ok but not great
Not a bad product, but not working for me personally. These definitely hold the drill well once you figure out how to put the drill in properly. My belt is a wider than the opening in the holder so I had to try to clip it on my belt. The clip is terrible and does not stay on. I will either be getting a new belt or a new drill holder.

Good way to hang electrical cords when not in use ...
I used this in doing my long span metal roof installation. I gives you peace of mind that your cordless drill is secured when you are doing welding and driving metal screws way up the ground. Good way to hang electrical cords when not in use too and it can serve you limitless purpose as required.

This little guy hangs on to our drivers at any angle and is easy to get the driver in and out of
My workers spend a lot of time hanging from ropes. Their harnesses put them in a seated position which makes most drill holsters spill their load. This little guy hangs on to our drivers at any angle and is easy to get the driver in and out of. No snags. We use 18v dewalt drviers, which are very battery heavy.
