Is this big enough to be able to place keys in?

Yes. Keys can fit comfortably inside.

How well does this hold liquids?

There really isn't much of a holding space but it looks pretty solid as far as holding liquid. (MAYBE 1/2 cup)

Can it get wet, wandering if I could us it for a soap dish for my new dragon bathroom?

I'm inclined to say no. It has a matte finish overall and it is not smooth inside, so, it would be difficult to keep it clean. It would be better as a holder for items that are not wet.

Can this be used as an ashtray?
