Designs by Erté: Fashion Drawings and Illustrations from "Harper's Bazar"

My aunt was an Erte lover and I can see why. The fashion designs he came up with, along with his artwork, make him an artist that should be more well known. delivered on time

The cover and the description shows that it has "8 covers in full color" and it does not have any color in the entire book. This looks to be more of a scan and reprint of an original document. The scan of the "color" covers is meh at best.

If you are into fashion illustration this book one of the fundamentals for your professional library.Erte is a Mozart of fashion illustration, his designs are whimsical, complex but endlessly elegant and timeless.I am repurchasing it because my first book got lost in a move.Endless source of inspiration.

Nice overview of Erte fashions in their prime...not so many color pictures, but a great overview of a great artist from a bygone era...

A nice look at the art of an earlier time. Erte was the very spirit of Art Deco.

Didn't think it would be so easy to get this book. I was the only one checking it out of my library for the past 10 years and when I moved, I figured I should get a copy of my own.

I sew for myself, and I decided to make things that I think are beautiful. For me that means Art Deco influences. I think the designs can be updated to just give an elegant feel to regular clothes.Wish me luck!

Love the illustrations, wish there was more info on each piece and more views. But I'm guessing most of this info was never included, so can't complain too much.
