Don't waste your time by searching which books to read for Computer Networking just buy this one you will not regret. There were also many other books available like Computer Networks by Andrew S. Tanenbaum and David J. Wetherall but nobody read that book another book is there Computer Networking-A top down approach by James F. Kurose and Keith W. Ross but the main problem with that book is that it contains only theories, numericals were given in a much less amount. This is the most highly recommended book by Professors of IIT and NIT and those who are also preparing for GATE exam and also for those who wants to learn Networking in depth, it contains lots of questions to practice. You can't completely read this book bit by bit. Read this book along with by watching videos of Gate Lectures by Ravindrababu Rabula because no one can explain Computer Networking better than him, he is absolutely brillant guy. Just take his course and keep this book as a reference, and if you want to read it you can, because it is going to consume a lot of time.

There is no doubt that the book is awesome , but the condition was not so good when delivered , looking like second hand but inside everything like new..... Book and the content everything is there..... I am just little confused that about how to download the online restricted resources from official website of McGrawHill because I couldn't find the passcode ( Thr passcode which is generally available inside every physical copy of McGrawHill books to download book related online resources from McGrawHill official ) to download online restricted resources inside this book, and not even the book is listed anymore in the website, if anyone have any solution regarding this then let me know.... However The Book is Great .......

Best book clear information about networks

It is a great book for learning Data Communication and Networking... I will recommend this book over Tanenbaum (Author) because its language is very easy to read and understand... I have both the books (this one and Tanenbaum (Author) )... Content-wise this book is quite rich & the concepts have been explained well with diagrams when we compare to Tanenbaum (Author)... Hope it Helps!!

I don't recall the description saying this was an Indian version, but it is (white background, multi-shaped, multi-colored boxes on the bottom). I rented the US version once before and still have the eBook to compare at the moment. The main difference seems to be that this version has more questions at the end of the chapters, I haven't found anything different other than that so far. My teacher requires the text, but does not follow it very closely. So for my situation the book is working perfectly fine and buying this version saved me literally like $150. Because of that I have to give it 5 stars. If you are buying the book for class and your teacher actually uses the book as the main material you may have a little difficulty, but it shouldn't be too much trouble to quickly identify the difference. As far as the reading goes, it seems to be the same as all the other books on the subject, can't really be much different; networking is networking. If you're reading the book for yourself, not for course credits, it should do the trick.

Stile chiaro e conciso. Il libro è molto voluminoso e copre un'ampia gamma di argomenti, coprendo tutti i livelli del TCP/IP in modo sufficientemente esaustivo. Ottimo per un corso base o per chi si affronta questi argomenti per la prima volta, una buona base per un livello più avanzato. 4 stelle e non 5 perché a volte (secondo me) è un po' troppo conciso e ciò che si cerca non è trattato sufficientemente a fondo, ma rimane comunque un ottimo libro. Consigliato.

Save yourself a ton of money and buy the import/export version of the book. It's exactly the same, except without the insane price tag. Do not allow yourself to get RIPPED OFF by the crooks at the textbook publisher. Find the India version here or on eBay. ITS THE SAME BOOK!
