Works perfectly fine in just water and even better when hydrogen peroxide is added.

It glowed a little in the sink when I gave up and threw it away!! I followed all instructions!! Used distilled water, gently swirled to mix it, let the sentiment settle and the poured it into my spray bottle. Didn’t work at all in total darkness or with a black light!! I’d love to have my money back and hope that no one else purchased this waste of money and time!!

luminol does work, but as in my review of uv lite, it is not a good buy. the product must be mixed and has a short shelf life, and also is somewhat hazardous for the casual user as far as eye and lung irritants, according to info in package. also pricey.

We purchased for a flow stick science fair project. It took more then we thought to glow but it worked!

We used this for a forensics science fair project and followed the instructions to a T, the product doesn't work. There was zero glow and the area was completely dark so that makes no sense.

The luminol did not work well for the purpose that I had hoped. I wanted it for chemiluminescence but it didn't work as well as flinn Scientifics product. I believe that the product was not ground up fine enough to be used for the demonstrations in chemiluminescence.
