Hi, does anyone know if this will work on imac running os catalina please

Worked with mine, but stopped ejecting after a few uses which meant I had to unplug, replug and press the physical eject button every time. Massive pain in the backside. I wouldn't buy another of these.

My think pad does not have a cd play on it, i have just bought a rioddas ts-l632h from you and note to ask you for the free software to run it please

I was unable to find the necessary software on the internet to be able to get the CD drive to work with Windows 10 so I returned it to Amazon as it was not as advertised or fit for purpose

Does it work on smart tvs?

Wouldn't be sure as smart TVs use customised versions of android/Linux. There's only one way to find out. Worst that can happen is TV and anything around it will magically disappear 😂. Or the TV just won't recognise it.

Can i use this just to play cds directly through a speaker, without using a laptop? Thanks

No. You need some " intelligence" between the CD and speaker to control the two.
