Are these dishwasher safe?

Yes, they are dishwasher safe; they are stainless steel. Using the cleaning brush is a good thing to do after using the straws to be sure no foodstuffs, such as from smoothies, gets stuck inside the straws. The brushes can also be washed in the dishwasher.
