What an awesome product. Adds that finishing touch to our train layout. I'm at a loss as to why there are negative comments about this set. Gee let me see, A to A and B to B. I tried to add regular track and it will not auto reverse so I ordered a 4 pack of 9" straights to extend it some. My son loves it so much. We added the Bachmann #60504 PCC Streetcar sound value equipped and it works beautifully. I was concerned that it would not have sound, but it does. It rings the bell twice on each startup and the motor sounds as does the sparking electric pickup. You obviously don't have all the control of a DCC setup but I'm happy with the functionality. Great product by Bachmann love their EZ track system.

Just getting back into my childhood trains after 40 years. This is great and will be a fantastic add especially at Christmas. Only complaint is the directions could be a little clearer, but I still give it 5 stars.

I’m not sure why this company hasn’t recalled this or any other auto-reverse product. The controller is defective. It will not reverse. I’ve tried several sets, none work as stated.UPDATE: 1/2/21 I finally got a controller that works! All I can say is to be persistent. There’s a bad batch of controllers out there and actually I have my doubts about the track too. ..I had issues with both. But when it does work, it’s awesome to watch! Maybe I’ll upload a short video when the display is finished.

On May 2, 2023 I purchased a Bachmann reversing track set.. It did not work. Trolly would only go one way. I returned it to Amazon and asked for a replacement. The replacement came and on May 22, I but it together, it did not work, the controller did not work. I again returned it and asked for a replacement, On May 24, the replacement set came and I put it together. You’re right, it did not work. The reversing track had a wire broken, you could see it. I finally gave up and returned it to Amazon, for a refund. I finally went to E-Bay and ordered a used one, at least I could talk to the seller. I do not know who I am most disappointed in, Amazon or Bachmann or both. I will not buy another unit from Amazon.

Was a gift to my boyfriend who builds a festive train platform each Christmas season. Worked liked a charm and he absolutely loves it.

Works fine. Just beware that setup is not quite as easy as put the pieces together and run your train. A little more detail in the directions on track configuration would be appreciated. Test your track before you attach to your layout.

As you would expect, this will be used for Christmas. I read many of the reviews that caution about which track can be used at what point in the layout given that this is a DC power system that reverses the polarity of the tracks to make the train run back and forth. They mix tracks that can do this with tracks that can't (at least in my experience - the "non auto reversing"). Also, the end track used with the "bumpers" have a cut in the track. Once I got it running I marked the end track and bumpers do the would be easy to pair correctly.

The auto reversing works just great, I really like it. The amount of supplied reversing track is a little deceiving. The supplied straight track only includes 4 pieces of reversing track; two of which are the sensing sections which only provide one-half of each track as usable track. Thus without the curved pieces you only have three usable lengths for reversing operations on straight track only (about 27 inches). The sensing tracks sense cars that draw current (locomotives, lighted cars, etc.) and they trigger the reversing circuit when one of these cars crosses the sensing track segments. The other two pieces of straight track are for cars that extend beyond any current drawing cars when the end of the train approaches the sensing track segments. Thus if you need a straight run of more then a couple feet you will need more straight reversing track pieces. When I read the description of six pieces of straight track I assumed there would be more straight track run provided. Overall a great little addition.

The product works well with auto forward and reverse controlled by the unit. The negative comments are the track length is very short by default with limited tracks. Also cannot have more than 3 carriages attached. For Asia region using 240v input and this adaptor only 120v. Need to change.

I bought a Bachmann trolley from a friend to insert into my Christmas village scene. I needed to buy track and a controller if I wanted to actually run it so I purchased this auto reversing track kit. The EZ tracks are simple to connect but, as warned by the manufacturer, you must be very careful inserting the connecting pins so as to not bend them or otherwise damage them. The controller is made of cheap plastic. I had something rattling in it right out of the box. Whatever is broken inside doesn't, at present, affect the operation. They give you 2 straight non-reversing tracks with the kit which are useless - that's misleading when the kit advertises it includes 6 straight tracks - only 4 of them are auto-reversing. All in all, I didn't get value for my money and it was expensive afterall! The trolley does go back and forth but only on a shorter layout. I bought extra straight track so that when combined with the kit track pieces I have 12 in total (8 straight and 4 curved). That would be the absolute max layout given the power the controller emits. And absolutely don't bend one of those pins when you attach the track because even that shorter layout won't work. I expected much more from a recognized brand name.
