Works Great! even with insulation in the wall!
Used this system to fish wires through the wall without any hitch. We even pulled some cables through a wall with insulation, and a cork board that was permanently mounted on the wall surface. I was not sure if we would have enough magnet power to go through the sheetrock, and a cork board that we had to pass by, but it worked great, and we were able to do the job without any issue. The marker that comes with this kit is also very handy to get your bearing on the exact location of the wall that you are going to fish. You can put the little magnet marker in the ceiling next to the wall you want to fish, and then when you are up in the attic you use the little pen like pick up beeper to locate where you put the magnetic marker by sweeping it back and forth in the general location of where you need to drill the hole to fish the wall. when you find your marker, you can move in an inch and a half and drill your hole. Then you can just attach your wall fish magnet bullet to the wire with enough slack to go down the wall, and head out to the wall you are fishing and get out the magnapull roller and pull the bullet down the wall to where you cut a hole for the outlet. The system works great to fish walls. Shipping was fast, and you get what you expect. Well worth the money, this will pay for itself on the first job! Buy One!

OLD ELECTRICIAN LEARNS NEW TRICK TO SAVE MONEY WITH A NEW TOOL.$$$$$$$$$ IT WORKS IS ALL I CAN SAY.
Ive Been in the field for 33 yrs.. I had never seen this used in the field. After seeing it on amazon,I Tried to look at video on how it works on another site. it was interesting, to see that it seems to work in a wall cavity to pull in string. but I can do that with a 3.00 set of fish rods and It was a little pricey at the time and I didnt get it. the next week we were pulling wiring in a soffet around a kitchen, we had to cut holes in just about every corner. that cost to repair. got to thinking about this magna pull........went back to office and in my email was a speacial offer on this kit. So I Bought IT. It set in my truck for a month never used . about a month ago I Hired a New Electrician and was talking about it, He said he had used one before and they work great , he said 1-man can pull wire with it easily. This I Had To SEE..... he was right ive never seen anything like this !!!!! it SAVES TIME MONEY AND LABOR, WE USE IT ON A DAILY BASIS . IT NOT ONLY PULLS STRING BUT WILL PULL THE WIRE ALSO. TRY IT YOU WILL LOVE IT, I JOB ITS PAID FOR IT SELF.

Time saving device
A must have for pulling wires through insulated walls. It isn't quite strong enough to make it super easy but strong enough to work a CAT6 wire down the wall with some patience. Way easier than attempting with fish tape or glow rods/whiskers. Though I don't spend as much time dropping wires anymore it will still come in very handy and be a highly recommended tool to those that still need to run wires more frequently.

Purchase with the MagneSpot
Pros: Saves lots of time,Cons: Don't use with metal studs, Magnespot is useless - take a pass and buy without, kinda priceyMy thoughts: If you are a handyman or professional that occasionally or daily needs to drop wires down a wall then you NEED this thing. So easy to use and saves a lot of time. The Magnespot is completely useless - buy the Magnepull with the included magnespot and save you the $$. My only complaint and reason for -1 stars is price. Lets be honest all this thing is a magnet and a rolly magnet - insanely overpriced for what your getting.Would I purchase this again... yes but the version without the MagneSpot

Serves its purpose!
Does what it's supposed to do. I even went through lap siding on the outside of house The magnet is relatively stronger than I thought. It even feeds network cable for through siding. Something instructions don't tell you make sure you have your contents tied to a rope or string securely or you'll lose them in your wall. I have not but it easily can happen. Strongly suggest to practice this in areas where you have access to try. For the money it works. Especially if you don't want to tear complete walls apart.

Why Use Glo Rods For Wallfishes Anymore?
Purchased for residential and commercial wallfishing in cable/telecommunications. Great kit! Magnetic bullet and roller wand work great for pulling wire down any insulated wall (unexpected fire breaks notwithstanding, ha ha). Included chain works just fine on uninsulated walls. If you do a lot of wallfishes, make your wire running easier and faster. Buy it. You won't regret it.MagneSpot: I rarely use the included MagneSpot locator, since I mostly use the kit in attics with blown insulation and it's a waste of time digging in it and waving the wand locator around. I just strip off about a foot of RG-6 stinger and poke it up through the dry wall ceiling at the outlet location. So buying the version without it is likely the better value. Don't get me wrong though, it works great, whether you use the included thumb tack or adhesive putty to place it. Seems to work better through drywall than line of sight!?

Amazing!
Every bit as good as it looks. I'm a DIYer who used to completely tear up my walls to run cable. Using this system I have literally no drywall repair to do! Magnespot works perfectly to take the guesswork out of drilling holes to run wire, and Magnepull makes it easy to run the wire, and easy to get the wire out through your hole for the outlet.

A must have tool for a low voltage technician!
This thing is awesome! Saves a ton of time fishing wires down walls! It has a super-strong magnet and can even pull through insulation. We ran into a particular scenario with extremely dense in-wall insulation, and we taped the leader magnet to a glow rod to help encourage the pathway, while a second technician guided the cable with the magnetic handle. Customer service is outstanding, very responsive and helped us immediately after we lost a part. Overall we are completely satisfied with the purchase!
