Royal Flush Paperback – May 22, 2014

Royal Flush was great but I also bought Royal heist thinking it was the sequel and it is exactly the same book!! I feel a bit duped!

Great story kept you interested. The storyline brilliant and a fantastic finish. I would recommend this book to anyone who reads this type of book.

Not her best work.

Great book, as usual. I am yet to find a bad one of Lynda La Plante's.

Not a great book and will not read any more Lynda LaPlante for a while.I was disappointed.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading La Bella Mafia but was dissapointed with this book. It actually reminded me of a 1950s film called The League of Gentlemen, where a group of ex-servicemen, plan a heist, planned funnily enough by a colonel. The characterisation was poor, dialogue was glib and the whole premise was unbelieveable. Are we really meant to believe that a man, in broad daylight, breaks into a New York apartment, using the ledge around the building, and no one sees him? or he breaks into another apartment and luckily for him, the alarm system has not been switched on! Too many fortuitous coincidences to make it believable.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and besides it being a very good crime caper ,it gave a wonderful insight into the horse racing world ,it's little wonder it's known as the sport of kings and although you can hazard a guess as to the outcome the ending certainly didn't disappoint . I am now a big fan of Lynda La Plants and looking forward to reading more from her

This book keeps you awake at night, it is so exciting, I was unable to put it down, the characters are so real, and I wanted the villain to get away with it.

Made a change from the normal London-based gangster family, great read.
