Only brass plated but that's what makes it lite. Not too big either. Wear it more than my all around buckle that I won.

The buckle looks just like depicted here in Amazon. It has the same color and tint and is as dark as in the picture. (as compared to other bright and shiny buckles)The fitment is standard, no surprises. The buckle fits up to 1-3/4" belts and is for male belts.The quality seems good for now, nothing broken. But I have worn it only once so if anything comes up later, I will update the review.UPDATE: After 25 months of occasional use, the belt retainer broke into 3 pieces. At first I contemplated fixing it but the material is too thin to weld. Plus I noticed that the coating on the front of the buckle has started to wear off.Since this buckle does not carry any warranty and the item is no longer available, I opted to throw it out and buy another Texas belt buckle.UPDATE: The belt buckle I originally bought in 2019 was a TEXAS buckle. The same exact item listing now shows a different belt buckle, an American flag. The seller is fraudulently changing the item description to sell new items while leveraging an existing line of reviews received for the previous item, making it look like the new item has plenty of good reviews. Very common deceptive practice that Amazon surprisingly alwows. I am downgrading the star count for listing fraud. BEWARE, this new item has almost no reviews.

Don’t waste your money

Buckle looked great. Very light but I was expecting that. Got it in August and the following June the bar that the belt connects to the buckle broke. Not sure it can be fixed, looks like thing pot metal.

The ball broke off the pin within 2 months. Now useless. I suppose it will make a nice shelf decoration. Paint worn off as well in several spots already. But hey it was worth a gamble for $8.

Loved it for about two weeks then it broke.
