Well made, has a professional look and feel. The Control Panel (little squarish device)… actually speaks. With a clear female voice the system lets users know when armed and disarmed or if a zone has been activated (door or motion senor)… if you choose. Many options to customize the setup in the app... yet easy and intuitive to use. I really like disarming the device using Alexa... not having to free my hands or pause at a panel. I haven't had this new system very long yet. But I really like it.I am thinking of adding a Fortress smoke detector, glass breakage, and water sensor to my Fortress setup for complete protection.

System does as expected. Had to drop one star as about once every ten times you open a door it doesnt trigger the alarm. And i am in IT professional, so save the usual troubleshooting tips i.e. are the door sensors close enough? in the correct direction? etc... it simply doesnt work every time, which coukd be a problem if an intruder were to catch that lucky 1/10 chance that the door sensor doesnt trip the alarm.

I’ve had mine for a few months and seems to function as described. I’m happy with my unit and only time will tell about the batteries and their longevity. There help desk is very responsive and willing to help. The integration with Alexa is there but could use refinement. Would also like to see alarm function in Alexa routines as well. You have to be very precise with your words vs other apps that allow more freedom with the trigger words that active and disactivate. Pretty solid over all and like I said I’m happy and it’s a good value.

El producto cumple con lo que promete, me gusta el hecho que uno pueda agregar mas dispositivos como sensores de humo etc. Me parece que la aplicacion para el control desde el movil deberia tener la opcion de poder activar y desactivar mas zonas.

Great product easy setup and works perfectly

I have had my S1 system for a few months now and am pleased with my purchase overall. I needed a system that could provide GSM cell coverage that can work with any carrier SIM and program my own call-out numbers - for use outside the US. Of many that I researched, this was the only system that met that requirement. I have had no problems with the S1 base, remote fobs, motion sensor or smoke detector - all work fine. The door contact sensors were temperamental - my kit came with 5, of which one was DOA, one chewed through a CR-2032 battery every 2 weeks, and one wouldn't reliably signal. But tech support was great and super-responsive - sent me out 3 replacement contact sensors all of which seem fine. I'm now 2-3 months in, and still running on the original CR-2032 battery in each of the 5 contact sensors that are now in my system.I also bought and returned the Fortress Eyesight camera - lots of setup problems (eventually resolved) and camera app problems (features lacking), and finally found that the camera doesn't actually integrate with the S1 system. It seems that Fortress is phasing out the Eyesight cameras in favour of NVR cameras - but these also don't integrate to the S1 hub. I have chosen to use Wyze cameras instead, which record based on their built-in motion sensors and have way more features than the Fortress cams. Lack of an integrated camera is the main reason I docked a star off this review.
