Our mattress is so big and heavy.** A: No it does not zip all the way down-it's about half way. You don't need to wash it often though. **Q: Where is the zipper on this cover? The sides or ends? I have an air mattress with hoses coming out at the head. Would this cover work?** A: Reply from Seller: The zipper extends around half of both sides and the foot of the encasing. It is not conducive for use with hoses. A ”Fitted” encasing is used for this purpose. It has no bottom to it and the sides tuck around the hoses and under the mattress, like a fitted sheet.
