After experimenting with several Melitta coffee flavors (some of which I liked), I decided that my favorite was the Breakfast Blend. It is a very smooth mellow tasting coffee, not strong or bitter as some. A lot of people like strong coffees such as various Starbucks coffees deliver, but I prefer one not quite as potent. This coffee blend satifies cup after cup, has very reliable taste, and provides the convenient one cup serving. The price is VERY reasonable. Why purchase a KOERIG rig when Melitta can tantalize your taste buds?

I've been experimenting with coffee for many, many years. Until a couple years ago, I liked dark, French Roast type coffees. But about a year or two ago, those started tasting bitter and I started trying medium roast coffees. To that end, I learned that Dunkin Donuts coffee is quite good. After buying my Cuisinart espresso maker, with three sizes of coffee holders, I bought pods on Amazon. Started with Lavazza, because a fancy Italian coffee seemed the right note. But, while it's good coffee, again, there's the bite that doesn't taste quite right. So I tried Melitta. A true Goldilocks moment. I've come to realize that I learned the truth long ago (while studying in Germany): Melitta is the best coffee! Have the breakfast blend in pods (which are larger than most and go in the bigger, one cup holder, not the pod holder) and the medium roast in ground coffee. Going to try the medium roast pods next (experimenting again!). I bought four bags of ground medium roast yesterday and have decided to quit messing around and stick with what's delicious. Even better--Melitta is far from the most expensive coffee out there!

Tastes great. A real wake me up in the morning. Also pretty darn good after a long commute home every night. I can make it extra strong or regular with my Melitta one - one. I've been using this same coffee maker for over 6 years and love it. Even after dining in a restaurant and having their coffee, I need to make a cup of Melitta because the restaurant coffee just doesn't do it. I'd be lost without my Melitta one - one and coffee pods.

Easy to use and provides good tasting coffee

recently ordered 4 boxes of the Melitta Breakfast Blend coffee pods - love this coffee, but the pods need work. I've used 2 boxes and out of those boxes 9 pods were defective - the pods were split open and coffee grounds were all over - none of these could be used. This isn't the first time this has happened with this brand of coffee pods, but before it was limited to a single box which I had ordered from Melitta direct. I called them with a number from the box they could track. They did the right thing and replaced the box. Your Customer Service is great Melitta, but you need to work on those pods!

This is a continuing reorder for this product. We buy both the Breakfast Blend and the Bussworthy -- the first for wife and the second for me, which is their strongest (most bold, robust whatever). It works well for me, but is not for everyone. I like it with about a TBS of half and half.

Coffee was weak, even using two pods and only 8oz of water.The box says to never use more than one pod but the result is too weak to be called coffee. The problem may be weak grounds or bad fit of the pods in my 'Hamilton Beach Personal Cup Stay or Go POD Brewer.' My drip tray has locations for two pods one above the other. This works great with other pods: two Senseo pods make 12 oz. of good strong coffee in this brewer.The Senseo pods are 70mm diameter by 6mm thick. They fill the drip tray diameter and relax into the conical tray shape. These Melitta pods are 64mm in diameter and 8mm thick. They don't fill the drip tray and don't 'relax' into the tray shape as well because they are more tightly packed. After brewing, the Melitta pods are expanded like an overstuffed pillow. I suspect this shape results in water bypass or at least less contact with the grounds.To my surprise Amazon does not allow return on these. I missed that info at purchase so I may be stuck with this useless product.*** Update 3/29. On a live chat Amazon customer service agreed to refund the price. Thanks Amazon.

Breakfast Blend is a euphemism for very, very mild coffee. I used my Hamilton Beach one-cup brewer, and not even filling the reservoir to the FULL line, I got a cup of brown water. I tried again using 2 pods without much better results. Probably my fault for not ordering a dark or strong brew in the first place, but if you are a lover of a REAL cup of coffee, this in not for you.
