Works, but...
BE VERY CAREFUL USING THIS.It stinks to high heaven and, at least for my squirrels, really works.BUT...AND THIS IS A BIG CAUTIONARY BUT:The spray mechanism allows massive leaking. Not only does the pistol part leak while you're using it, the cap isn't secure/tight on the bottle opening despite tightening it to the max. I realized this only when I noticed the drip going down to my pants legs and garden clogs (I was continuing to use it, figuring that I could just wash off the minor leakage from the pistol mechanism). What seems like a totally good idea...that the stuff doesn't wash off in the rain...actually also means that you can't wash it out of denim or whatever garden clogs are made from. And when you wash the affected areas of the denim, any water that gets on the rest of the garment will stink up the rest of the garment. I've tried several detergents and Dove dishwashing liquid...and I will still stink, probably forever, when I wear the pants. The shoes aren't that much of an issue because they just stay in the garage anyhow and seem to not have absorbed as much as the denim.Right now, the pants are hanging on an accordian clothes dryer out on my deck. I'm going to be afraid to put them in the dryer. I might just throw them out.Meanwhile, I put the regular cap back on the bottle and will use the stuff with disposable gloves and a disposable rag.UPDATE: Neither Borax nor Odorzout touched the smell. Pants are now in a trash bag, waiting outdoors until my garbage pickup.

Does not last or work effectively
The scent is strong for an hour or so, but doesn’t last, therefore doesn’t work. I followed the suggestion to use it every day for a week, but squirrels and chipmunks were back at it with an hour of application. And if your not careful, overspray will get on tender leaves, causing browning and leaves to die.The nozzle is awkward and leaky. Even with rinsing it out after each use, it clogs up.I wanted to keep pests from the planters on my deck, so I applied it directly to the wood and plastic containers, avoiding the plants and soil. It stained lighter colored planters and the deck. It does wash off but that defeats the purpose![UPDATE] 10/31/22: SELLER CONTACTED ME TO RESOLVE MY ISSUES. SELLER REFUNDED FULL AMOUNT. I DID NOT EXPECT OR ASK FOR A REFUND.

Seems to work against chickarees (red squirrels in mountains)
If you keep it up, heavy usage daily for a week or more then every few days, it works against our chickarees. The real test will come as we get closer to fall, as they like to bury cones in all my flowerpots on the deck. One large pot had over two dozen fir cones buried in it last winter. (These are the small red squirrels in the mid-level of the Sierra.)

natural product
This product is biodegradable so I'm happy to use it. Squirrels don't like the smell of mace so I'm hoping this keeps them away from the string lights on my tree. I do not care for the sprayer; it comes out in a stream and there is no way to adjust that. Other than that, it seems to work the way it is supposed to.

Great Smell! Not too Effective.
The product has a great scent & is easy to apply. I believe for it to be more effective I need to apply it about 3x a day. The squirrels harass my dogs by running along the fence. I need to stop them from cutting through my yard on top of the fence & help them find another route.

Helpful
I used this in the garden - seemed to help. Didn’t use directly on plants/beds, strong smell

Saves my potted plants
My flower pots on my porch are a target for the squirrels. They love to dig and toss the flowers out. This spray gives my plants a fighting chance against these varmints! Just have to remember to respray from time to time to keep the protection going.

Doesn’t work for long
This works temporarily. The smell is disgusting for both parties. Like peppermint mixed with mustard gas. The squirrels soon realise it’s temporary and just come right back.. they are relentless!!
