My grandson loves when I play the ukulele so I wanted to get him one. I leaned toward getting him a real ukulele but was aware of the problems with that idea. First, a real uke needs to be kept in tune. Second a wooden uke is delicate and most are too big for him.After reading the reviews for this toy uke, I realized that it was the best choice. It is inexpensive so no one is agonizing over how he is treating it. Let's face it little kids can be rough. He loves to turn the tuners so it is never in tune and can't really stayed tuned even if you try. He has banged it around and dragged it across the floor. He's just a normal little boy who drops things and bangs them around. This uke is plastic and can take a beating.The most important part is that he loves it. He takes it with him everywhere and loves that he can make sounds with it. He is not looking to play beautiful music or maybe it sounds beautiful to him (it's not loud or unpleasant). He's just having fun which is what it's all about. When the adults take out their ukes, he get his and he like to place it next to my uke when I put it down.If your child is ready to really learn to play a ukulele, then get him or her a real uke. If they just want to have fun, this uke is fantastic. The most fun I ever bought for $20.

I bought this as a gift for my granddaughter and she loves it. It keeps her entertained for hours.The material it's made of is durable and the strings should last a long time, based on my granddaughters constant use. Light weight and easy to pop in her school backpack.

This is a legit ukulele not a toy for a young child because it needs to be played like a real guitar. It is really beautiful though. My 3.5 year old loves it but wanted to hear sounds out of it and was not able to even with pretend play. We are exchanging for a true toy for now and will upgrade to this if she takes an interest in it later for lessons. Also didn’t feel safe keeping in case she snapped the strings by strumming too hads

I love this ukulele because of how durable it is, the price, and because it’s possible to teach your child how to strum and tune!The strap to carry it really isn’t a strap, it was just one clip so they don’t leave it behind but to me that wasn’t important enough to take away from how much joy it brought our child.Perfect introductory instrument

As an instrument, this is most great, the tone is bad, it doesn’t really keep its tune, the strings are generic, it’s just overall not a good instrument.However… as a toy for children that is more than just a toy… you can play it, you can tune it, it’s waterproof, droolproof, takes a beating, looks cute, is a pretty good size for a little kid, and gets them engaged and interested.So overall, it’s kind of worth it especially since functional sopranino ukes are either very expensive or very delicate or both.This is a good transitional musical toy, enough of a real instrument to pique interest and pluck out a few tunes, but also not a real instrument to fret over and stress out about your little ones beating the crap out of.

Sounds real good for a toy guitar. It has a good solid feel. My child has dropped it and stepped on it and survived just fine. He did more damage to my real Ukulele before I got him the toy one. I really didn't see anything else as realist on Amazon. So, I highly recommend this toy.

I bought two of these for my 2 and 3 1/2 year old grandchildren. They came packed in a really cute box and look like they will hold up. They came with some thin picks and a neck strap —- I threw them out because they seemed like a choking/strangulation hazard, and aren’t needed. My granddaughters love them.

Enkelkind war begeistert, hat sich Mega gefreut. Ich war etwas Enttäuscht, da es aus Plastik/ Kunststoff war, was mein Fehler war, hab nicht richtig gelesen! Es stand Fichte, somit bin ich von Holz ausgegangen! Wer richtig liest, ist klar im Vorteil!😬 Somit finde ich den Preis aber zu hoch!
