Highwood Weatherly Rocking Chair, Black

The chair is great. Pretty easy to assemble but don't necessarily think the order of operation is quite right in the instructions. Also, when we received the delivery, the box was not secured. Would suggest stronger staples or tape. Hard to handle when the lid of the box keeps opening.

My favorite part was how well packed, and thoughtfully protected each part was prepared for the rigors of shipment. The packing was a great surface protector for assembly too. The closed foam padding is an awesome kneeling pad for assembly and maybe even for future use in the garden! I digress.....The chair is all the reviews said it would be, sturdy, comfortable, handsome and built to last. It was easy to assemble (follow the rule to finger tighten first, then go back and hand tighten). No unpleasant surprises at all!I read a review that the rocker felt too far forward on center of gravity and seemed to feel like it wanted to tip you out. I disagree. This is not the cushy, absorbing, collapse into it, kind of chair that is a chore to extricate yourself from when it's time for dinner. It is, however, the nice, sit up straight, enjoy the conversation, and get up easily to move around kind of chair. I was looking for this exactly. If I wanted cozy, comfy, I would look for an item with cushions. My two cents......I have another one coming, and can't wait for it to arrive!Made in USA!UPDATE! May, 2022The customer service at Highwood is terrific! I bought four chairs and two tables in 2018. They sit outside in Vermont on a covered porch through four seasons a year and are exposed to temperature and sunlight with NO bad effects. One rocker sled cracked open this spring, and after sending a copy of my Amazon receipt and a photo of the damage by email to [email protected], the Customer Service team reached out, told me about a redesign of the chair, and let me know they are sending me a new chair under warranty. It is nice to have a company stand behind both product and customer. I will buy this brand again and again! Worth the money, every penny!

The media could not be loaded.  Extremely sturdy. Seems to be made of a pretty indestructible fake wood material. Super easy to assemble if you have the right hex wrench drill bit and a power drill. If you don’t have the right drill bit it’s a bit tedious but not hard. The cushions I purchased (sold separately) are kinda small, but they make it way more comfy. No chemical smell despite being made from a fake wood material. We purchased for outdoor use. Overall we are satisfied.

This is the sixth Highwood product we've purchased and we're delighted! Sturdy, heavy and roomy, this furniture does not disappoint. If you have common sense the aasembly is straightforward. The trick is to keep the screws loose as you put it together. This piece is larger so you need 2 people. My husband & I assembled this in about 15 minutes. Thank you Highwood!

the price is a little more then i wanted to spend on an outside chair. but i think its worth it now. its sturdy, beautiful in color, comfortable, and holding up to the downpours we've had. i hope this lasts for a long time. as i have had wood ones that lasted for 2 seasons and rotted. not only that but i would have to repaint. this just wipe off.

This was a present and it is absolutely solid quality. Everything about it is top notch. You won't be disappointed with this rocker.

Liked how nice they look !

If you google “Nantucket Blue” you’ll see a wide range of blues pictured. The Amazon photo led me to expect a more navy blue and it is much lighter than I thought. Still stunning but go to the Highmore website and better still order their complimentary swatches if you’re color-particular.This was very easy to assemble, and believe me we hate putting things together. Weight limit is 500 pounds so we all fit by a landslide, although see us after quarantine. Maybe we’ll be happy for this weight limit :)
